Why they use win percentage as a stat is daft for a manager as it should use PPG (in relation to league games). A manager could win 10, draw 20 and lose 8 but have a shit win % yet still a decent PPG. Up until this season, the PPG was the same in the PL for both matching both seasons between Bruce and Benitez.

ASM only started half the league games last season and in the squad (25 times). After a draw in the 1st game he missed, you won the next 2 against Palace & WBA but then drew 4 and lost 6 in the next 10, overall W2 D5 L6 so 0.85 PPG. The rest of the games was W10 D4 L11 which is 1.36 PPG or 51 PTS a season.
Wilson started 23 games (squad 27) and he was the reverse as you won the last 2 games he didn't play right at end of season against already relegated Sheff Utd & Fulham. His record for games missed was W2 D4 L5 so 0.91 PPG but given the last 2 games of season then was he missed in those? Rest of games were W10 D5 L12 or 1.3 PPG or 49 PTS
Last season you also missed Dubravka in goal to injury. He eventually got back into goal and ended up with a record of W5 D5 L3 or 1.54 PPG or 58 PTS a season. You won 5 of your last 8 games last season, only dropping points when you lost to Man City & Arsenal and drew with Liverpool.
Dubravka's also missed all the games this season along with Wilson missing 4 of 8 games so how much has this cost in PPG? You ended up drawing with Southampton after Wilson went off injured while you were winning 1-0 so did you drop 2 points? Could Wilson & Dubravka have helped turn draws against Leeds & Watford into wins or possibly a defeat to Wolves into a draw or better? You could well have been on P8 W2 D2 L4 8PTS or more.
Who has been 'backed' the most in the transfer market? Bruce got no 'new' players this season when the team really needed them so again how many points did this cost. Yet how many players did Benitez bring in compared to Bruce?

Anyway long story short, let's just look at the win percentage and Bruce's 7 wins in 38 games and not a bit more of the bigger picture.
