Feels like they've given it no thought whatsoever. Either they didn't think it was going to happen and it's caught v them by surprise or Newcastle just aren't a big priority for them.
Could be that they gave up on it ever happening, but being wealthy and successful individuals you might have planned regardless? 🤔, either way, they don't seem bothered to me.

What worries me about the deal is the $1.5bn PIF and Mohammed Bin Salman has spent on using anything and everything to basically try and polish a turd and airbrush out of history all the human rights violations the Saudi state is guilty of including the Yemen Civil War, is that it is one of the most cynical empty gestures you will ever find. Getting Deontay Wilder to fight in the state will not make people forgive and forget all the years spend denying anyone and everyone the simple rights which enables them to live normally and peacefully as everyone else. It will suddenly not soften peoples attitude because they can show they can host a game between two giants of the International football scene or host a top FIA World Championship like the WRC, WEC or F1.

For me it is just prostituting oneself. The mags are happy to be used as a financial bandwagon to promote a lost cause - a corrupt state using sport to try and do a face turn.

I do think the goal is to throw money at it and be the next Man City, but it would be class if it was simply a financial investment for future profits and they basically continue running the club the way Ashley was. Imagine if they sold their soul for that?!

Doesn’t he get homesick when he goes north of Watford?

How ? By more mega rich owners, no matter how dubious, buying them and making the PL an even bigger money pit ???
I would prefer the European Super League to start and for them all, including Newcastle to fuck off and get football back
Looks like it’s going to be them against rest of world, all jealousy of course as one avenue of funding looks as if it’s being closed down

18 votes for 1 against, Newcastle 1 abstention Man City

Newcastle: Premier League clubs vote to block sponsorship deals linked to owners

out of self interest I like to think Premier League fans will react

If this new sponsership rule comes into play then we will be saved as the mags wont be able to spend enough money to dominate. They will only get to the levels of Everton. Hopefully all clubs back this new proposed sponsership rule and it gets passed by the powers that be.
Premier League clubs voted the way they did for self interest .I would like to think Premier League fans will react for moral reasons ,starting at crystal palace .One banner with a portrait of NUFC new owner Mohammed Salman Al Saud with the inscription of murderer on it.Sometimes one image can be worth a million words .Hopefully some SAFC fans are planning something for Saturday ,don’t be Boro leave the swear words out. Whilst I take your point on board mate. All that will look like is us being jealous, sad and small time. Let's keep our dignity in all of this is my take
