Anyone who follows American sports would tell you that that is just absolute horseshit.

Just in the last couple of years, the Washington Redskins have had to drop their name, as well as stopping fans from wearing Native American head-dresses, as it's seen as cultural appropriation. There's controversy with other teams such as the Kansas City Chiefs and the Atlanta Braves for doing similar stuff, as well.

The Cleveland Indians baseball team are changing their name and team identity to the Cleveland Guardians next season for the same reasons, and it's only in the last few years that they dropped their 'Chief Wahoo' mascot.

Presumably the US government already know that 9/11 was assisted by the Saudi state. They are definitely already aware of the human rights abuses. They've done nothing. I'd be surprised if they do anything now.

Too busy settling old scores in Iraq when they should have looked to KSA. And don't want to do anything that will embolden Iran.
