They're a weird bunch. The atmosphere from them yesterday was awful.

We were out drinking in the Bigg Market after (I know, but it's close to my bus stop) and as I was walking to get my bus 2 mags spotted my Spurs Poppy badge and started Zieg Heiling. Weird bunch.

On radio Newcastle whenever the opposition score whether it's us v someone or Newcastle V. someone the commentator's voice stays flat - almost to deaden the impact. But it goes up if the north east team score. Martin Tyler did exactly that yesterday as if he was supporting Newcastle. Either Dembele ran over his pet dog or Sky just openly support the scum now??

Whats Dembele running over Martin Tyler's dog have to do with anything...? ;)

The difference in commentary is embarrassing

I just tried to send this to what would have been my local MP, if I still lived in this country.
I got an automated response saying that I need to leave my address etc.

Anyway, if anyone else wants to do it, my email was this:-

Hello Grahame,
I am sure you are aware of what is happening at Newcastle and their takeover by the Saudi Government.

I have two issues with this on a political level .

First is the Govt involvement with the Premier League, when Johnson allegedly made sure that the deal went through. It is alleged that we wouldn't be able to sell alms to slaughter Yemenis if it didn't happen. Apparently the minutes of the meeting between Johnson and the PM League chairmen have been redacted. It would be nice if some transparency would be forthcoming. Perhaps you could ask him why.

The second issue is your colleague in the Labour Party, the MP for Newcastle Central, Chi Onwurah. The amorality is astonishing, her vitriolic attack on the Saudi Govts murder of Kashoggi three years ago, has given way to her appearance at St James's Park yesterday in support of the murderous regime. The only thing I can say in her defence is that she didn't wear a tea towel on her head!
This is far more important than football, heaps shame upon the region, and perhaps you can query this in some way?

Best wishes,

When did Staveley say this?
And January is not long term.
I don't expect massive overhaul in January. I don't expect anything to be fair.
I'll hopefully enjoy progress if it comes.

As for Ashley, I'm not against the man but things did need changing due to the bitter hatred of him which has become untenable and poisonous of which all parties are to blame for that, massively including certain sections of fans.
Google it my friend, it's been doing the rounds for a few days now

That's what Brucieball will do to you.

If you don't improve your league position sharpish then £50m isn't getting you much in January
New manager will get these players playing at their level, at least. Which is a sharp improvement on Bruce's mess.

Last season we had two long winless runs (7 and 9 games) and we still ended up with 45pts. I'd say that even if we don't make waves in the January market (which I don't think we will), a better manager than Bruce will get us to safety.

The cause of all what? There are a lot worse football club owners than Ashley. Don’t buy into their propaganda that Ashley was the root of all evil.
If we had Ashley instead of Short or Donald we wouldn't be in League One imo. I'm sure Derby, Sheff Wed, Forest, Portsmouth and Ipswich fans wouldn't have minded 14 years of Ashley.

He's a shithouse but in a world of bad football owners he isn't even on the radar.
