Sort of attitude that people who knock Sunderland have
I work with lads from Stockton and peterlee area and they love Sunderland town centre
Give the smoggy there due, they pretend to hate us but are head and shoulders above them maggots

There definitely seems to be more of a scene brewing now like, places like the Peacock, Proven People, PopRecs back open soon, Independent etc.

I work in the nightscene so I've got a good idea of what's going on. Friday nights are pretty dead, might get a few in coming out the Empire around Vesta Tilleys etc but Town in general is pretty dead after midnight aside from the mainstream bars like Ttonic.

Saturday nights as you said are starting to brew up, if you asked me this time last month I would of said the same shite as on a Friday but it's picked up alot over the last 3-4 weeks

1 night a week is far from good but Cooper Rose is opening back up on 19th November, having a giant building like that closed isn't a good first impression so it'll be a good thing.. I can't see the Trilogy nightclub lasting mind, they went from £8 entry to dishing out free entries within a month, never a good sign.

Or just realised that people just want to get pissed. With so many pubs/bars now open late with free entry, who's going to pay to get into a club?

People who want to stay out longer than 3am perhaps?

Only 4 places in Town which a license for longer than 3am.. Trilogy, Indie, Seven and Jungle Bar... Though if you're gonna gan in Jungle Bar after 3 bring a gumshield, makes the Blandford look like a fine establishment.

North Tyneside. It's not far walking wise but once you've done 50 minutes on the Metro (with a change) it's a bit of a hard sell. Trying to persuade someone to get the Metro through to Sunderland is bad enough before telling them there's a 15 minute walk at the end, not happening especially when there's a Stack in Newcastle and it's Sunderland which would be their exact words.
Surely you could jump in a taxi if walking it is a problem? Probably wouldn't even be a fiver.
