By the way, the hijacking of that Jimmy Nail song "Big River" to make it about their club as opposed to the city or region, is sickening.

Now I know Nail of course is a massive mag, but that's a song we can all identify with it, so it's awful if it becomes about NUFC especially with this takeover.

It's a wank ballad. If they want to embarrass themselves further with Jimmy Nail revivals, I'm keen to hear the flailing speffs.

"'Imbecility: a more or less advanced feebleness of the intellectual faculties' - Are you with me so far? 'That weakness of mind which, without depriving the person entirely of his reason, leaves only the faculty of conceiving the most common and ordinary ideas. It varies in degree from merely excessive folly to an almost total vacuity of mind.' That's our boy."

The sub-headings under "Insanity" in Black's, Thompson explains, "define the legal, not the medical, condition of madness. I chose Imbecility just now but there is also... let's see now... 'Derangement: manifested by delusions, incapacity to reason, or by uncontrollable impulses...' Shit, yes. 'In law, such a want of intelligence as prevents a man from comprehending the nature and consequences of his acts.'"

Looks like a scene from carry on follow that camel
Radio Newcastle blamed it repeatedly for the "drop in atmosphere". Apparently "understandably the fans mood has been subdued by the horrible incident in the East stand".

Nothing to do with being humiliated on the pitch then?
Don't want to embarrass the fans but it was very quiet after about 20 minutes

Good to see Manquilo as shite as ever.

Woeful at the back - Ritchie finished at PL level, Clark not far away from that either. Lascelles just not good enough, no pace, can't pass.
Midfield ouch. Willock decent engine but what's his forte, certainly not passing ? Hayden and Longstaffe championship level at best. Shelvey ? Best days behind him. Liability in centre mid. Joelinton abysmal.
ASM and the centre forward are decent tbf but if owt happens to them between now and Dec 31, the mags are still gona be down there at turn of year.
Manquillo one of their top goal scorers this season

I don’t think they’ll cope with being disliked, they crave limelight and approval too much.
I just hooe premier league clubs combine and rip them off at every opportunity James tarkowski okay 60 million please.
They honestly think title is coming within 2-3 years anything less they’ll be asking questions etc let’s see how long the honeymoon lasts with then towards ‘his excellency’ and Wor Amanda.
Horrible club im just glad rest of football can see it now

Can’t decide what’s more embarrassing?

Tbf mate, the French day thing just seemed a bit of fun (didn’t we once do a green day for Quinny?). What happened yesterday though was frankly a bit sick. Grown adults behaving like love struck teenagers over a truly disgusting regime.

The funny thing is mate, they have a bloody big target on their backs now. As you say, the other PL clubs are not only going to rip them off when they come knocking for players, but teams will lift their game due to the ridiculous media circus around them.

Fans draping themselves in Saudi flags. What is wrong with these people?
I’m not sure if the Saudis are thinking this is brilliant or what the fuck have we just bought? The scenes yesterday were beyond cringeworthy. Grown men in Arab garb, waving Saudi flags and chanting they’re the richest club in the world. They’ve sold their souls to Satan and made a complete twat of themselves in the process. The entire country has just seen them for what they are.

I don’t think this will end well for them.
