If I've read the FFP rules right, they have £190m over three seasons. They could spend it all at once, but what about the next five windows? In addition, where your wage bill is more than £60m a year, you can only increase it by £4m a season; that's going to hurt them maybe more than anything.
Very interesting :lol: I tried googling to find out more but just found old info from 2019 that mentioned £4m but looks to be from 2013-14

The league has also introduced a short-term cost control measure in which clubs are restricted in the amount of increased PL central funds that can be used to improve player wages.

The increase in wages from the fund was limited to £4m in 2013-14, £8m in 2014-15 and £12m in 2015-16 (wages can be increased from clubs' own commercial revenue).
