What he didn’t do was move so he could stay objective and keep his work fresh. The punters liked “burgers sizzling in the cathederal” so he kept serving them.

Gradually he fell in with the NE press pack and bit by bit they brought him down to their level. A real shame.

PRESS RELEASE FROM SJP

We are organising a series of events as part of our ongoing mission statement to bring together our 2 great nations. The first of these will be today before the game against Tottenham.

Starting today for our fans entertainment the first event will illustrate 3 of our many great cultural foundations of the Saudi state. We hope and expect our two great nations to grow together and adopt the best of traditions from both cultures. It will not come cheap for our great Saudi state but so what .. it’s only money.

The first Cultural Exchange between the Saudi Kingdom and the Geordie Kingdom.

Public executions

Steve Bruce will be led out to the centre circle followed by a man in robes with a curved sword and tea towel on his head. The event is intended to assuage our fans who see the greatest problem facing the club (after Ashley) is the unpopular manager. We look forward to seeing the joyous celebrations of our fans as the Steve Bruce era is ended in traditional Saudi fashion.

Disposal of murdered victims

Following this a team of four specialists armed with bone saws will then dismember the body of our dear departed ex manager. The parts will be bagged up and will never be seen again.

LGBTQ “problem”

Following this we aim to solve the LGBTQ “problem” by examining all of the staff at the club and all those openly gay staff will be dealt with today. They will be taken to highest point in the stadium and then thrown off. This will be done in the Tottenham section so it will be their responsibility. The remaining staff will be “interviewed” by the Saudi secret police and any staff who “confess” to be secretly gay will be dealt with at the next home game.

We intend to be known as the “Entertainers” once again in the tradition of the great Keegan era. We are confident we can fill St James’ Park at every home game now with our new pre match entertainment.

He needs to watch what he’s saying, calling the Saudi regime “problematic” he may get an invite to the embassy and it won’t be for tea and tabnabs. Wouldn’t be the first journo to make the journey and not return. I should say that in bong eyes case I use the word journalist in the loosest terms possible. Khashoggi was a journalist, Ryder is just a mag that learned how to read and write. ( sort of )

There are two factors in FFP - loss limits computed over 3 seasons; nominally £15m, but can be increased to £105m if the owners create new shares (loans don't count). The other is the cap on increasing wages. Transfers are complicated, because the value of the deal gets written off over more than one season. However, the full cost of any associated wages counts in full from day one. Computing what they could actually spend is therefore far from straightforward without doing a full budget/forecast for the next three years, and more than one version to try to see what might work. However, there'll certainly be much less scope than the Mags want.

Turkish intercepts from within the Saudi consulate in Istanbul , where the journalist was butchered in 2018, recorded Salah Muhammed al-Tubaigy, the Glasgow trained doctor and lieutenant colonel who allegedly dismembered Khashoggi with a bone saw, telling colleagues that he liked musical accompaniment and cups of coffee whilst cutting up bodies.
Tubaigy was part of the 15 (FIFTEEN!) ‘kill squad’ that executed Khashoggi after he wrote articles in The Washington Post’ that were critical of Saudi’s de facto ruler Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. According to two Wall Street Journal reporters (Blood and Oil:Mohammed bin Salman’s Ruthless Quest for Global Power’) the kill squad flew home on two private jets belonging to the country’s PIF (Public Investment Fund).
Some Turkish sources, who have heard intelligence recordings of the killings, suggest that Khashoggi was still alive when Tubaigy began sawing him apart.
