My eldest son went back to Uni last weekend in London. For context I was an ST holder when I lived up North. My youngun is 11 and born and bred in South Wales, his Uncle lives in Barnes and is an ST holder and takes him when we are up. The boy is a MLF (and Pickford fan being a goalie). The local feeder club here is Corinthians and with the footy and socials everyone is friends. It's actually a really good afternoon out.

I miss all that mate.

Mind you - I don't miss the mad parents who believe their son should be playing for SAFC / NUFC / BORO and behave like absolute idiots.

Because half of them will want the job when they start splashing the cash. Well done Klopp though.

I would suggest it’s because he’s got a conscience and the spine to back it up.
Nice to see Shearer mention the mood change since the new owners have taken over and criticism of the previous regime, that he took a job from and remained tight lipped about at the time. Let’s change their nickname to the Revisionists.
I wonder if he’s going to turn down his job as ambassador for the club?

There once was a manager, an ex player of some quality who had never harmed a soul but clearly had facist thoughts. There were sections of the Sunderland base up in arms, people protesting. He could have been our saviour who knows but he wasn’t given a chance because principles outweighed sporting success. The most embarrassing scenario in recent years for Sunderland fans was the playing of Adam Johnson when the CEO knew he was as quilty as sin, arguably one of the most talented players in the last 60 years to play for Sunderland but we would rather he had never played once charged what ever the impact on the teams results.
Many many Sunderland fans were embarrassed and ashamed of the club.

I just don’t think Newcastle fans do embarrassed, they think their entitled success trumps everything.
There in lies the problem a lack of self awareness something which makes them some of the most disliked fans in football.
The Saudis and Mag fans are pretty good bed fellows if you ask me.

Sessegnon or Johnson(if he didn't do what he did)? Sessegnon for me every time tbh

Unfortunately, it sounds like utter twaddle to me. No club would be daft enough to announce their true transfer budget to all and sundry.
Maybe they’re thinking if they pretend theyve got no money to spend all the other clubs will keep the prices down when they sell to them. 🤣🤣🤣 it’s the sort of cunning plan the Cupid stunts would hatch.

Well lads and lasses..its almost 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺time...day off tomorrow..going to watch South Wales derby..then settling down to watch the absolute shitshow later...watching the Goon army hopefully get destroyed off Spurs!!...F..T..M..

If you think supporting your team is only about attending games and buying it's merchandise, then you're very naive. Do you not care about it's reputation within the football community? A city's football team is it's heartbeat especially in working class area's such as the North East. Funny how your fans were willing to walk away from supporting the team under Mike Ashley's tenure because he wasn't pumping in the millions you were wanting him to, but somehow because his business practices were shady you've decided the lesser of the two evils is an archaic, despot state with a multi-billion investment fund behind it. Every trophy or bit of success your club will have going forward will always have a caveat beside it and that's the stick your fans will be beaten with every time you pipe up.

Their beating heart is now the harvested organ supplied by the CCP in a Saudi body

Don’t know what is more hilarious, Newcastle fans defending murderers or their players being delusional thinking if they do start challenging for trophies that they’ll be anywhere near the club, they’ll be sold to championship teams well before the mags are fighting for any trophies.
