At least some journalists are calling out Downie's hideous comments. But then look at the replies to his tweet. Mags almost en masse jumping on anybody pointing out the reality of the head of the saudi state. Its genuinely mental what they've become.
Can't stand that mag Downie. He is a terrible reporter

It really is. Sportswashing without any effort on behalf of the Saudis.

Seriously man, who can any normal human being defend them? Its mind-blowing

Do you think they will? Serious question? It was mentioned on the Max Rushden podcast that Bayern fans takes banners to the game demonstrating against Qatari involvement with the club. So far we have only seen comedy Arab dress and Saudi flags on display from your supporters. Will anybody dare to put their head above the parapet?
Only if they want it lopped off.

Some, nowhere near as many who don't.

@FootballJOE: "We could look at the situation in Saudi Arabia and we could rightly condemn it, but it’s not really our responsibility as a group to act on something..." United with Pride told JOE they had been put in an "impossible position" following the takeover.
