Its not about ranking Pulevs opponents to Fury’s comeback though is it ?!?

As it was said the other week Fury was given/took the quicker route to a title shot with the WBC and Wilder rather than ‘ earn ‘ that shot with other governing bodies which would have had him fight eliminators with Whyte or the likes !

some may now disagree but most would of at that the seen Joshua as a tougher fight than 1-2 Wilder
You keep saying that, but the route to 'earning' a shot as mandatory was a hell of a lot easier than facing Wilder direct.

I really don't understand how beating a few nobodies to move up the ranks is more impressive than facing Wilder months after losing 10 stone. You just point blank refuse to give any credit which is why everyone pulls you up on here.

How was considered the favourite when Fury was set to face Haye all them years ago?
Would have said Haye was favourite but with an acknowledgment that Fury had every chance and was probably 1-2 good wins away from proving himself as a star (as subsequently turned out to be the case). Fury was ranked number 1 with the IBF and turned down a final eliminator against Pulev (to challenge Klitschko) to fight Haye instead. Haye pulled out twice and Fury lost his rank and had to wait another 2 years to face Wlad.

In defence of Whyte I think most of his fans (I include myself here) accept that he is technically limited but is always game as a badger and actually has a pretty decent resume post AJ with victories over:

- Dave Allen (a nah)
- Chisora
- Helenius
- Parker
- Rivas
- Povetkin

Nobody wanted Rivas when they fought and Helenius is actually looking pretty decent now too.

John Fury on who next for Tyson Fury: "In my idea, it's Oleksandr Usyk next, or nothing. I wouldn't bother with the rest of them, they're not in Tyson's class. Would Dillian Whyte deal with Deontay Wilder? No. So why put him in with my son and get him knocked out?" [

Fury is a genius. Broke Wilders hand by taking his biggest shot to the top of his bonce and neutering him for the rest of the fight.

broke him mentally also

I get pulled because i dont blow smoke up anyones backsides !

i’ve given credit to Fury after both his victories against Wilder ( in the same posts i’ll discredit Wilder but thats just me liking a balance to things ) and have given him credit for losing all the weight and getting back to top level boxing !

so i dont take that point at all, i can accept that at times i’ve been overly critical or cynical even but I have given Fury credit over this thread, not a massive amount but i have !

What makes you prefer Joshua to fury?

95% of what i’ve said on here about the 2 or indeed any boxer has been centred about them boxing what they have or havent done in the ring !

i respect both of them and rate them both it shouldnt be an either/or situation !

yes i’ve had a crack at Fury for his record not being as good as some think or how he’s not defended a belt before the weekend or his perception as a boxing god when he hadnt proven, but i have praised him for his wins over Wilder and to a lesser extent his cuddle fest/boxing lesson over Wlad

as for Joshua, I got back into boxing after hearing the noise he made hitting blokes in his early KO wins and i was hopeful for his potential for a while and i think its great how he brought big time boxing back with Hearn, i was at the Wlad and Usyk fights great occasions but he’s gonna go down as someone who wasnt as good as he could have been cause he doesnt like getting a clip ! And i’ve been more than critical of him since Ruiz 1

personalities wise i respect Joshua more than Fury who i do respect aswell, i just don't like Fury’s brash ‘ladish’ crack and didnt like his crack after winning his belts against Wlad and thats not to start a debate with people saying well look at what Joshua said to Chambers or those words he said at the BLM protests thats another level !

Al fair enough reasons, was just wondering mate

David Haye is a bizarre man. It’s pretty common knowledge at this stage, Sky even made a documentary about it during lockdown, that he bottled Fury years ago because Wilder took his soul in sparring.
Like legitimately caved him in so much that he didn’t want to be in the sport anymore.

Now he wants to fight the bloke who destroyed Wilder 3 times at the age of 40.
