Oof!

In the context of the film its an incredibly chilling scene for such a banal song.

I remember a right wing commentator posting it a few years ago (without insight) on Twitter and the MAGA crowd were loving it...

Right up to the point a Jewish politician appeared on the thread, and told him the song was actually a satire written by his gay Jewish uncle who had fled Germany before the war and had been "married" for decades to his other gay Jewish uncle.

But if you don't see it? - it flies right over your head.

There are times I feel like we're living in the Weimar republic, only this time it's more global. That ended well.

From who?

We along with the rest of country are laughing at your lot dancing round with tea towels on your heads, waving the Saudi flag and welcoming an oppressive dictator buy you.

Even better there’s still a big chance you’ll go down this season. Now toddle off to your own board.

Ahh the classic "toddle off to your own board" I agree we could still get relegated, indeed.

And yes the whole country is laughing at some idiots with tea towels on their heads. So be it. I've said multiple times I'm not happy with the ownership as it is now, but that's ignored on here. So I thought I'd resort to dishing out the sort of replies any Newcastle fan gets here. No matter if trying to be reasonable or not. So. Here's a like.

A search of human rights issues on this message board will show you human rights issues are regularly discussed. Both football and non football related. This particular issue has garnered more attention than most because a nation state that regularly metes out medieval punishments to anyone that doesn’t agree with them, or is gay, or a woman. Bombs busses full of children, starves them and poisons their water supply, and isn’t averse to state sanctioned murder has just bought, what was once your football club.
But you won’t see all that when you’re under your stone with your head up your arse.
No, no they are not.

No. It equates to, we have new owners and I will go with the flow as I always have.

Absolutely not.
If we got relegated to the non league under them I'd be gutted but my Newcastle United allegiance would never change.
If they destroyed the club I'd be devastated.
I'm not in control of anything that happens other than to decide for myself if I want to continue being a Newcastle fan and supporter and I choose to be a Newcastle fan and supporter no matter what. It's that simple.

I don't have to like what the regime stands for, I only have to like my football club and hope the players do the business.
As for Ashley, I backed him and still did up until this takeover. Why?
Because I understood his set up from the start to the finish. The good the bad and the ugly of his tenure.

Absolutely I did.

I doubt many 'football manager playing' vacuous players pay much attention to current affairs tbh.

They, like many Mags, will turn a blind eye to current affairs, human rights and terrorism. Wearing a ribbon or bending the knee is just a token gesture they know makes them look concerned.

But now that football supporters are posting on forums, etc, they'll be under no illusions that they'll be associated with murderers and paid by a State that sponsors terrorism.

I know you'll be expecting players to flock to SJP but I think you'll find some players actually have a conscience.

There are plenty of big clubs to go to who don't have blood on their hands.

Yep.

And it began with people with a sense of aggrievement looking for easy answers to complex questions, and burying their head in the sand about the potential cost of their emotion led "thinking" - just as long as they were able to feel justified in their desire for power and status.

Obviously there are no parallels or lessons to learn from history here...

I'll put it this way, I haven't had one educated response this morning on here.

What I'm asking is how do you honestly think the majority of you're clubs fans would of reacted, if they'd just been taking over by the same owners?

I'll say it again and again, the overwhelming majority would be ecstatic. To say otherwise is shear lies.

Hmmm

You haven't had an educated response to your post referring to "the majority of you're clubs fans would of reacted"

Your English competence isn't as A grade as your political ignorance.
