I certainly will, could you please provide a list of the companies they own. Exclude the ones where they have minor investments of less than 50% as they won’t actually have any control over those.

I realise I may be waiting a long time for this list to appear.
If your morals are high and you're not a hypocrite then you'll look up any investment by these and give it all up, whether it's a pound or a penny.
And you should be also looking at otehr stuff you use that may be tainted with atrocities.

I'm sure you'll do all this to ensure your morals stay high...right?

I'm most certainly not!!! My point was that up until they became involved with them up the road I'd never heard a fellow Sunderland fan complain about their human rights issues. None of us gave a toss so I'm not going to pretend to get all worked up about it now. If they'd bought us I wouldn't be bothered about it either and that's the truth. I'm just a football fan and I just want to go along and enjoy the match. No doubt they are the same. We're also at the beginning of a new era under a new owner and we're going along nicely. I'd rather concentrate on that.
Nearly 600 posts and only half a dozen on football, all of which are on the mags thread.

I genuinely don’t understand why so many mags on here pretend to support us, it’s just weird.

That's about as logical and persuasive as your preposterous flat earth opinions.

Decent football fans around the globe will be appalled at the way your fans are happy to accept this blood money.
Dressed up as Arabs and swigging beer only those fuckers oh and religious flags to boot and ‘should they convert to Islam’

It's galling when the main paper that is as aghast as the majority of the UK over the Saudi takeover is the Mail.
Another good article here

Enjoy your day. This is your time now,' proclaimed the feed for a fans' group backing the takeover bid

Fans groups selling their soul for this blood money.

A Newcastle United Supporters Trust survey found 93.8 per cent of members in favour. But this is dirty money from a dirty state: a new low for the game and a stain on one of our great football clubs. Both deserve better.

Where is Caulkin and all these other NE reporters?

They are a disgrace to their profession.
Sorry, link here

You really are a bit thick aren't you.

Why the fuck would football fans in the pub be talking about Suadi murderers when it as nothing to do with football?

Why the fuck would football fans on a football forum be talking about Saudi murderers when it as nothing to do with football?

Why the fuck would football fans on a football forum be talking about Saudi murderers buying Newcastle when it as nothing to...........oh wait🤔

Exactly. It has nothing to do with football. Nobody was bothered and how everyone is up in arms. Your average football fan just wants their team to be the best it can be, and that's the number one priority.

Di Canio was a well known fascist. However that doesn't stop him being my most favourite manager here since Reid (Well maybe joint with Keano) and it certainly didn't sour the moment for me when he was sliding on his knees when we slapping the mags about on their own patch. I wasn't thinking I can't enjoy this like I should be because he's a fascist!

As a football fan, off the field activities don't interest me in the slightest. It's simply just about the football to me.

Less of the abuse eh marra. Just makes you sound bitter and desperate. Human rights in Saudi Arabia has never been a big talking point in Sunderland and that's a fact. If they didn't have a pot to piss in nobody would be arsed. We've just got to suck it up on this one. I'm more than happy with our owner, and the direction that we are finally going in after a farcical few years. That's what's important to me. Despite all the euphoria up there, there's still a decent chance we could play them next season. They aren't just suddenly going to start winning games.
If thats true maybe its got something to do with the fact that previously there was no major link between the Saudi state & football in our country, let alone our region. Now there is its no wonder people are talking about it

Using excuses like “you watch Disney” and claiming faux outrage to deflect from the fact you were all celebrating outside your ground in Towels with Saudi flags…GLORIFYING…

I repeat that, GLORIFYING, a regime that murders children, beheads those who speak against them, sponsors terrorism…need I go on?

glorifying. There’s your difference. There’s what makes you complicit. You disgust me.
you also dont get 50,000 people sat in a stadium cheering on the animators making a disney film. totally incomparible. buying a few disney shares on the open market vs owning a football club where supporters cant just go and support another team. they can decide not to watch disney and watch netflix if they want. cant do that with your club.

I've made half a dozen posts on football, and Sunderland in the last 24 hours! Suggest you update your search function! Admitted it's hard to escape the talk from up the road right now though. If I had it my way I'd temporarily lock that particular thread.

There's also plenty of posts about how we need to bomb them forwards to the stone age. It has been discussed many times, this isn't new. It's just highlighted more because people (and lots of people) are willing to forget everything. The Mags can play as dumb or as innocent as they want. The reality is everyone knows how bad they are, everyone with sense condemns it, now they've celebrated it and are trying to justify it by saying we didn't care before.
They have zero shame, fuck them murdering, rapist sympathizers

I will, cheers. You’ve never suffered for attendance or corporate engagement and you’ve never got close to the numbers that you’d need to facilitate that sort of spend in one hit. Your ONLY way of getting into that CL picture with regularity is via gradual slow growth and sensible spending over multiple windows. I don’t think you lot have got that in you tbh.
We have suffered for commercial revenue. We were comparable with Spurs in 07, we're lightyears behind now.

I agree that sensible spending and steady growth is the best way to advance. I think the support for Benitez showed we can get behind that.

perhaps the saudi regime hasn't been discussed as much before on a football forum is because they've never owned a football club before?
the sportswashing issue is the only reason i can think of that they've bought newcastle. any people who think it's for the benefit of the football club, the fans and the area are wrong imo.

You're missing the point.
When it had nothing to do with football, football fans hardly spoke about it.
Now it has everything to do with football, football fans are talking about it.

It's pretty easy to understand,.
