Mate, coming on here trying to goad us with playground insults because someone called you names is the absolute opposite of "level headed".

And if you think people pointing out the issues with this can be dismissed because they're SAFC fans so they have an agenda and must be "envious and bitter" you may need to log off and do some reading.

Over 100,000 Yemeni people are dead from bombing and malnutrition as a direct result KSAs proxy war there.
Women are in jail for the "political" act of wanting equal rights.
Gay people are killed.
Women who have sex outside of marriage are stoned to death.

And while these uncomfortable facts are being pointed out your fellow NUFC fans are abusing a widow of the bloke murdered by killers flown in your owners private plane to kill him on his orders.
Your fellow fans are all over the Internet "whatabouting" any KSA critic with cries of "Disney".
While an LGBTQ NUFC supporters group are releasing statements supporting the buy out and hoping it will be a vehicle for change? KSA NUFC accounts are telling them to "die", and saying that they'll NEVER accept NUFC gay supporters.

Yet the real issue?
The REALLY important part of all of this?
Is for you to come on here and call us "Jealous"?

If you really believe that's the takeaway from all of this you may want to reflect on where and why your previous moral stances have evaporated to such an extent you're attacking SAFC fans for saying EXACTLY what you'd be pointing out if they'd bought us...?
Brilliant post. Nailed it

Genuine question I have always wondered. If you lot had the seasons, players and profile we had in the 90s and 00s and grew up supporting sunderland then in the champions league and breaking world transfer records do you not think you lot would have different attitudes and a superiority complex and want to at least try to get back to that level?
You have only really known 3 top half finishes since the 50s. We are bound to have different mentalities as a fanbase with what we grew up with compared to you.
Why would we have a superiority complex about winning fuck all? You’re the only fans in the world that brag about being massive failures.

That worked out well. In my time supporting Newcastle since 92 all you have over us is 6 in a row marra. Since then we have had bigger crowds, better players, bigger profile, higher league finishes, champions league and now 2 leagues above.

But we are so little? Thats terribly defensive of you.

Also you mentioned 1992

Genuine answer - probably depends on age tbh. If I'd been 15 in 92 and we had some years like you lot then aye, I'd probably think we "should" be back there. Or certainly I'd know it was possible so would want to see us strive for it. I was about that age in 98/99 when we hammered the championship and then looked like we could compete at the top end of the PL. I think that kind of age can shape your opinion on things, especially when it lasts longer than the short time we had.

Thing I don't get though is you get mags under 30 acting like they should be competing at the top end when, for the vast majority of their lives, you've been nowt special. If I was a fair bit older than 15 in 92 I'd probably have realised that what preceded it wasn't great, and neither was what came after, so I'd possibly see it as an outlier period (albeit one I'd hope to recapture)

It'll be interesting to see if any turn them down and publicly state the ownership as the reason.
Potter seems like a nice bloke although that might just be his haircut?
I hope they get someone I don't respect in any way, like Van Gaal or Eriksonn etc.
They'll probably end up with Mourinho after whoever they get in next. He'll be even more past it by then hopefully.

@Fitzgerald isn't the full shilling mate go easy on him "stupid is as stupid does" is a line from a famous film it's fitting for him
Tottenham have won f all for nearly 2 decades now. They have been mainly in the top 6, played loads of European football, got a cracking new stadium out of it and had great players and probably increased their fanbase and profile too. You don’t have to win things to class it as a good period. Tottenham are viewed as one of the “big 6” yet are trophyless in nearly 20 years.

Why should people move on and what business is it of yours whether they do or not?

Should people always ignore important issues and simply move on?

Should people just look at 9/11 and think, it's done, let's move on?

And wtf are you moving on to, another pastie?
Get help marra

Mancini would be my pick but can’t see him leaving the azzuri yet.

So it’s plausible the current FFP rules could be tightened even more?
So let’s say NUFC spend hundreds of millions to set the foundations. The FFP gets tighter, the saudis take the huff and want to leave. Would anyone be able to pass the F&P testing for a club with that much outgoings?

FFP is fucked anyway tbh. Loads of clubs still struggle constantly. It’s more to do with restricting competition

His stock has rose considerably in the last 18 months. I think he will get a big job.
Aye he’s the don. To be fair I can’t see the likes of him or Conte coming to us no matter what money is on offer. Be 3 seasons of mid table until we get back into Europe I can’t see conte hacking around mid table and then the europa league.
