Feel free Jack.
We are now richer than we were under Ashley. Under Ashley we were richer than we were under Shepherd. Under Shepherd we were richer than when we had Seymour.
This has changed. The supporters have not. In the main we are the same as you lot. Working class folk who have seen the club win nowt. Go to games expecting nowt. The supporters, of both clubs, are the thing that has long marked us out as being special. The crowds both clubs attract are exceptional under any metric you care to utilise. The away support is second to, almost, none.
All these riches guarantee only one thing. We should improve. We are a long, long way behind West Ham and Everton who should be the initial target. We are, in my opinion, a decade of heavy investment, astute management and luck behind Man City, LFC, Chelsea and Man Utd.
Talk of League titles in 5 years is just madness. Qualifying for the Champions League in 5 years would be a huge success.
If Sunderland had been taken over by this lot I can guarantee you there would not be thousands of morons with tea towels on their heads wrapped in bedsheets at the SOL welcoming murderers, terrorists, human right abusers and war criminals with open arms.
We're nothing like you.

Football wise you are nothing like us and act nothing like us.

Its chalk and cheese.

I cant even begin to imagine what you lot would have done if you'd be in league one for 4 years

4 years in the third division

you dont have a f***ing clue mate

You'd never see Sunderland protesting and acting like utter idiots outside shops because we finished 13th in the premier league.
We also are a reasonably self deprecating when we need to be, with some self awareness. A lot of your fans genuinely believe you should be competing for titles.

Well with Saudi oil you will be. What a fairytale story.

Although they are hilarious to watch, most of my mates are mags and I don't actually know any that go on like that.
Social media gives the simple ones a chance to be noticed, look at the rev wraith, but most just pint, shit match, moan over a pint, home.

When we do it, it's classy and funny though. Everyone can enjoy that.
It can be with certain sets of fans. You get you good bad and ugly in terms of rivalry and it'll never change.
They have 3 months of playing before they can sign anyone. All the money in the world, can't do anything.
Yeah, you're right....but, a managerial change and a massive gee up of the players that will likely become uninjured and fit as all hell may change the set up to at least go on a decent enough run to get into a position of being able to pull away from the relegation zone until January.

Biffo the bear makes some fair points in this thread like. Not all mags are weird fuckers, in fact it’s only a small minority, most of them are just like us, decent hard working people who like a pint and a laugh.
I’m from County Durham, my mother’s family from Sunderland, I have a house in Newcastle and live abroad. Honestly I can say their density of morons is much higher than the average with not many other clubs any where near them.

If St James Park is renamed and called the above, will there be the outrage that the renaming of Sports Direct caused?
No, likely not. Maybe a few pockets of discontent but generally people will say something like, "ahhhh it's a new era" or something. You know, utter hypocritical, most likely.

This article from today's article says it all. Comparing the sins of Mike Ashley to a new owner who orders the murder and dismemberment of his citizens. It's not bitter Sunderland fans who have a problem but all right thinking people. This is such a damning article - football has reached a new low.

So you haven’t really experienced living somewhere where the majority are not one team? The arseholes can still be a minority but just a much bigger minority than most clubs

I’ve seen a few posts mentioning how money have ruined football, of which I agree in some ways. However, the issue here isn’t about the actual money that the Saudis bring in, but about the human rights issues. Without wanting to upset the mods with certain language, I would like to say him perplexed how a consortium headed by the people who murdered a man and dismembered him could walk into any football club in the so called civilised society. Forget rivalry between our clubs,,,as this is not the issue at all. The fact is our game now has within it murdering scum with horrendous human rights to their own people and others in the Middle East. How anyone can welcome that is beyond me. Would I be happy if they were taking over my club,,,,,absolutely not. Sad day for football.

Newcastle fans are exactly like you lot. Only circumstances change the outlook but the main is, we're all the same.
