So you'd see no problem with the fact your fans made a massive issue over Mike Ashley's practices (Far from ideal but legal) and yet when a bunch of murdering dictators are announced as owners, suddenly it's all 'Well what can you do eh'

The hypocrisy is unlike anything i've ever seen in football im afraid.

f***ing unreal this lad like!

I don't care if it's our closest rival or a far away club with zero link to us.

The whole thing is disgusting. That England and English football happily allows it's institutions to be taken over by murderous regimes with human rights records akin to a certain German regime of the past? It's a genuine, great stain on the game and the nation.

This a far, far, far bigger threat to the game than the Super League which supposedly had people rioting in the streets.

It could happen to any club.

The game really is gone.

Bookmarked.
Feel free Jack.
We are now richer than we were under Ashley. Under Ashley we were richer than we were under Shepherd. Under Shepherd we were richer than when we had Seymour.
This has changed. The supporters have not. In the main we are the same as you lot. Working class folk who have seen the club win nowt. Go to games expecting nowt. The supporters, of both clubs, are the thing that has long marked us out as being special. The crowds both clubs attract are exceptional under any metric you care to utilise. The away support is second to, almost, none.
All these riches guarantee only one thing. We should improve. We are a long, long way behind West Ham and Everton who should be the initial target. We are, in my opinion, a decade of heavy investment, astute management and luck behind Man City, LFC, Chelsea and Man Utd.
Talk of League titles in 5 years is just madness. Qualifying for the Champions League in 5 years would be a huge success.

The mags or not, big money has killed the English game and ripped its soul out.

Oh your lot are special alright! People of the north east are generally very similar but when it comes to supporters of each club things are very, very different.

Wonder if Syd James's will become

"The Mecca"
I’ll call “line” first then
He created the group that killed him? Think the journalist needs to re-write that headline
much bigger than that..they also own newcastle race course and I think they recently bought a shopping precint or somehting?

basically the rueben brothers are very very rich but they always shunned publicity..they feel that this lack ofprofile meant they midssed out on business deals..they are say, 8 times richer than richard branson.but people come to branson with deals cos he is known to be rich..so the ruebens have been trying to grow their profile to show their wealth to gwt their oprofile and thus be offered better business deals in future

eh? your right i couldnt buy into sunderland..no one fgave me shares though..ive never been an safc shareholder..most people who have been lost money..

can you buy into safc? if not why are you bleating at me for not been able to?

niall quinn got given safc shares (he is much poorer than methven)
aabda staeley got give newcastle shares..is she skint too..or is it standard to give people shares in businessesin exchange for running it..

When their excitement of becoming the ‘next Mam city’ dies down any mag with half a brain cell will be concerned about been owned by these, and that article is just the tip of the iceberg. Any criticism from us will be seen as bitter but the rest of the country don’t have to dig deep to see it for what it is.

Football wise you are nothing like us and act nothing like us.

Its chalk and cheese.

I cant even begin to imagine what you lot would have done if you'd be in league one for 4 years

4 years in the third division

you dont have a f***ing clue mate

You'd never see Sunderland protesting and acting like utter idiots outside shops because we finished 13th in the premier league.
We also are a reasonably self deprecating when we need to be, with some self awareness. A lot of your fans genuinely believe you should be competing for titles.

Well with Saudi oil you will be. What a fairytale story.

Yeah someone has ballsed that up, minor point in it all but the journalist won't have written the headline or byline.
