Yes you’ve described how parts of capitalism work. I’m still unclear as to why you seemed to be suggesting that people can’t have opinions on politics etc unless they’re actively involved. That’s not just a social media thing, that’s a chatting down the pub thing in bygone times. It’s just human nature to form opinions on things. You don’t have to be an expert in them

Wouldn't be surprised to see them go for a 'big name' without having a clue about them, like a Zola or a Thierry Henry
