We arent talking about Qatar though are we?

The standard of living in Qatar is the absolute same as in Saudi so it's right to compare. Just because it doesn't suit your agenda doesn't mean it's wrong.

As unpopular of a fact this may be, but Boxing, Disney and WWE bowed to the Saudi regime and only the latter got absolutely battered for it...

I don’t really see a downside to this.

If it goes tits up, and it could being the Mags propensity for calamity, it will be even more amusing being they are now backed by the wealthiest owners in football.

If they succeed it will be down to pure hard cash. Most of football is but it never matches the joy of a Leicester or Wigan when they won the cup. They will be just another team of anonymous mercenary millionaires who bought success. Nothing wrong with that but as a fan it’s not the way you want to do it
Mag neighbour just sent me crowing messages about how they beat the wealth of the worlds ten richest clubs combined. My response was pretty much that this will make it funnier when they continue to win fuck all.

Unless it's a 50+1 model or fan owned club you'll never have your club back. I'm delighted with KLD but he hasn't given us 'our club back'. He'll hopefully bring success but we have to accept that this is modern football.

The Mags have definitely not got their club back. You can debate the first paragraph but NUFC are now part of a portfolio. An instrument in a dictator's scheme to sportwash and raise the profile of his regime.
