NUFC/Sportwashing

Literally said it 100x that I object to both the Saudi sportwashing and the world cup in Qatar. I've mentioned it time and time again for the better part of 2 years. I ignored it because I can't be arsed constantly repeating myself.

Anyone found guilty of breaking any law should pay the punishment for doing so. I can't control that, our government can. If MBS was prosecuted and served time in jail it would be deserved.

That doesn't change the fact that I will always love my club.
Do you object to them taking over Newcastle though? You haven’t really answered what I asked?

Would I fuck. I’ve not commented on this thread until ten minutes ago. Only because I was surprised @mag in peace posted in support of them.

Sometimes in life mate some things are just to fking much. Fuck them.
I have never posted in support of the Saudi regime - you make it seem like I'm condoning beheadings and that's utter tosh.

I will always support my club, whether owned by Ashley or aliens. It's bred into me. I can (and have shown for a long time now) do that whilst not condoning the ownership or liking the way in which they conduct themselves.

I really don't know what more I can say?

Mag, are you some kind of masochist. You're getting f***ing murdered here mate.

f***ing off might not be a bad idea.

He genuinely believes he’s smart.

But he’s arguing that fan intervention is a positive force which should be used when an owner won’t spend millions, or won’t sack a manager, but is pointless or not worthwhile when you’re literally about to be taken over by a country with one of the worst human rights records on the planet.

Either he believes it’s productive, and that the Saudi regime are bad enough to warrant immediate protest, and he’ll back it all the way.

Or he believes one of; 1) it’s actually ineffective or not the job of the fans (so invalidating most of his tired patter on here over the years), 2) The Saudis aren’t that bad really, or 3) They’re quite bad but Mike Ashley was worse.

Completely missed this today! Cheers marra!!
I actually did, so I’m glad it got posted in its own thread.

The problem with tidying away anything to do with Newcastle into a thread called ‘Newcastle’ is that it gives no context or reason for me to read it.

The first part I said was I object to their sportswashing. I'm sorry if you could not infer I ment directly in this case.

I'd rather my club was taken over by basically anyone else but it isn't.

You should maybe consider protesting then mate, I reckon there would be a few right behind you given their previous concern for the human rights of retail employees in the UK.
