I’ve posted this for a few people..this is from an i phone..don’t know if it differs with other devices.

1.Go onto a site called Postimages..you may have to register.
2.When registered go on and select ‘choose images’.
3.Select ‘photo library’.
4.Click on the photo you wish to copy.
5. Select ‘add’.
6.The options available..select ‘hotlink for forums’..it’ll say ‘copied’.
7.Come back on here..right click and paste..have a go.

This works. I could not get the other instructions to work but I am a luddite and refuse to read instruction manuals

Partly that, and partly dealing with all of the copyright claims and licence fee demands when people copy and upload photos/images which aren’t theirs.

Basically there are the equivalent of no win no fee lawyers trawling cyberspace looking for copyright images. We feature well up the search results and being in the UK are quite easy to demand licence fees from and its expensive in time and money to settle.

We are big enough to be above the radar, but too small to defend ourselves and if we host them on our server, in the eyes of the law we are guilty of breach of copyright.

Sites based in the USA are covered by DMCA which essentially means they can just take down an image on request with no further penalty. Sites in many other parts of the world simply ignore copyright due to their local lack of laws. In the UK we are liable to pay licensing fees from the day an image is uploaded until the day it is removed.

You can upload a limited number of images to your gallery here and add them to posts as described in @Pancho ’s post that @peachy linked to, but I do agree it is quite a faff and images still need moderator approval for the reasons above.

Photobucket prevent us from linking to images that they host.

Thanks for the explanation - if it was easy I would post loads of images but the faff of using Postimages acts as a filter.

I do have a great photo I want to enter in the competition Peachy runs I’m just waiting for the right category @peachy
