They were trying to push it through knowing they can’t submit to the tests. This whole thing is a ploy to try and show the Saudis they’re loved by the folks of Newcastle, and to push it through that way.

The Saudis aren’t at the table whilst they actually have to submit to the proper tests because they can’t pass them. It’s a simple as that. The only journalists reporting different either work for the chronicle or are Newcastle fans.

There's plenty of decent Newcastle fans. And they have a right to be pissed off currently. Their squad is shite and their manager is an idiot, as we all know.

For some Newcastle fans, I don't know why they bother still going to games. It's been over a decade of just constant anger and moaning. But it was boring then, and it's exceptionally dull now. 10 years of very loudly stamping their feet then giving their money directly to the man they've dedicated so much attention to getting rid of.

At some point, you either stop going and support Gateshead or Blyth or whoever or you accept that while things aren't great, they're still good enough for you to willingly pay hundreds of pounds every year to watch the team and you shut up for 5 minutes.

The issue is because they want the chairman or an elected/appointed figure to be the chairman (like that have with say F1) but the PL are stating it's more than one person it's the state. On this last point I'd totally agree. I think Staveley thought the threat would make them cave in which is utterly embarrassing. Now it's having to run it's course in its entirety which will most likely come to the conclusion that the PL could have given 12 months ago.

Considering you lot have struggled to get out of League one for three seasons, you could argue that your ambitions of winning the league are idiotic. That's bullshit though, you absolutely should be winning the league and it's not good enough that you aren't.

As the lass said, we don't expect Europe or title challenges, we just don't expect to be going up against newly promoted teams playing defensive football and hoping for a draw.

The Saudi's are 100% still at the table - why would anyone Club, Staveley etc be wasting their time with Arbitration and the process of it if they weren't. Get to the end, find out they had been successful and then not able to purchase the club as they had no funds anyway? No one's that mental (apart from a few on the politics forum).

I disagree going off what Amanda Staveley was saying on talk sport. She sounded very unconvincing to me so we’ll have to agree to disagree and see how it plays out. Feel free to tag me and laugh if it goes through!

Turning up to games thinking, You know what, we might get something out if this game - rather than the typical dread of the match day experience currently.

It would also be nice if someone invested in the stadium, cleaned it up a bit - put the teles back on the wall to watch during half time and removed the f***ing dead pigeon that's been there years.
