You fancy a manager with 29% win rate?
if I was claiming that I only wanted to not be at risk of relegation and wanted entertaining football then I couldn’t exactly chant for him to be sacked after one of the most entertaining games of the season

I'm sorry mate but you lot wanted him out when he was performing much better for you like 20 years ago. The bloke just isn't a very good manager. We don't even compete in most games.
You finished 12th
17 points from 3rd bottom
Were safe with 8 games to spare.
Remind me how many games there are a season because I feel like that's still 'most of the season' like I stated.

It doesn't matter where you are for most of the season. The only position that matters is the end after everyone has played everyone twice. And the facts are above - you finished 12th, 17 points above 3rd bottom.

Eh? So a relegation battle is only a relegation battle depending on where you finish? So the team that finished just outside wasn't in a relegation battle according to your logic?

I'm SAFC through and through.

Got some great mates both in the Army and civvie street who are Geordies.

I still want us to do better than them always. That's healthy rivalry.

But I can't understand how some can slate their ambitions as fans. We have, we all have.

(Obviously, not the deluded ones who think they're a top 10 European team.)
There's plenty of decent Newcastle fans. And they have a right to be pissed off currently. Their squad is shite and their manager is an idiot, as we all know.

For some Newcastle fans, I don't know why they bother still going to games. It's been over a decade of just constant anger and moaning. But it was boring then, and it's exceptionally dull now. 10 years of very loudly stamping their feet then giving their money directly to the man they've dedicated so much attention to getting rid of.

At some point, you either stop going and support Gateshead or Blyth or whoever or you accept that while things aren't great, they're still good enough for you to willingly pay hundreds of pounds every year to watch the team and you shut up for 5 minutes.

So the fans want safety and entertaining football but when they get it they want Bruce out still too get someone to play entertaining football and guarantee safety?

I get wanting Bruce out but it’s abit early in the season. He just seems to be getting it in the neck because Ashley isn’t there

He's getting it in the neck because he's shite at his job.
That was Rafa's win percentage in the Premier League when he was at yours.

Yet you treated him like god.
Did we? Find any evidence of the plethora of posts I have made on here about him that suggest that 🙄 lazy old cliché bollocks.
17 points clear, safe by game 30 and finishing 12th is hardly a relagation battle.
You realise that we are talking about the whole season right? Idk why you are so fixated on the end. If we had started brilliantly and ended poorly I'd have said the same thing. It's a relegation battle because we are winning only 29% of our games. We had posters on here saying shit like 'see you next season' so clearly, many of your own fans thought we were in a relegation battle too - it just doesn't suit whatever your odd stance is.

I don’t hate Geordies, not all of them anyway, I hate Mags.

His job is to keep youse up

Which of the top 6 would buy him though?

They can all afford a better finished article, and they can all attract talented youngsters to improve. Maybe West Ham, Crystal Palace? Doesn't really strike me as the type of player Rodgers would want at Leicester.

When he goes, he'll surely go abroad?

Everton

So in which case you are saying we have a patsy in charge with zero ambition as well as a chairman with zero ambition?

I guess we shall see how comfortably we stay up this season, I'm assuming like many others it will be another boring long arduous season of scraping by and barely surviving.
You can stay up and not be in a relegation battle.

Therefore every season is a relegation battle - no? Otherwise he's got the easiest job in the world.
You're in the same bracket as Norwich , Burnley , Southampton, Palace etc
Always struggle season after season & expected to be in a relegation battle

I’m not saying that. What I’m saying is that it’s abit rich for fans to say what they want on sky then boo and hound out a manager for achieving what they want.

All these protests are because people are sick as fuck the Saudi government aren’t putting their money in. If it was a random American consortium people wouldn’t care.
