Put a flat earthier into space

Not looking good for my evidence of the appearance of Jupiter I'm afraid. My weather app is reporting 80% cloud cover later this evening and after a sunny start the cloud has rolled in/been placed by THEM (delete according to belief system). Also although night on night Jupiter seems to be appearing higher/projected higher by the magic crystal controllers (delete according to belief system), by 10pm last night it was not far above the trees/fuck knows what they might actually be to free thinkers (delete as appropriate). I'll see what I can do though, I don't mind providing evidence to back up what I have said when time and weather allows.

Feel free to accept whatever you wish. You're obviously entitled to do that.
Tbf mate you're sounding stupider by the day, many people are only asking you for what evidence you have or details of your experiments but you have none.
Apart from mention of a belljar but another type of bell comes to mind......

No bother mate. I'm ok with whatever you and others decide I am...etc....etc.
The only advice I can give you is to totally ignore me.

I've failed in my attempt to get a video of Jupiter I'm afraid.

Patchy cloud, struggling to get a clear focus and I didn't account for a bright moon very near Jupiter making it more difficult as it is essentially a bright light shining into the camera. When there was gaps in the cloud, it has been my first time out with a new imaging setup and it is not quite right. What I would have recorded would have been poor but for some reason it would not save the capture using one program and completely crashed the other one. Now I have got back inside I think I set it up to record to a external hard disk which I didn't connect up, so that might explain it. Part of the problems with astro imaging. You have grand plans, but can't really test anything until night and then you are out in the dark, feeling tired, sometimes with limited time and things don't quite work like they did indoors. 10 minutes before the shadow of Callisto was due to pass, it had just sunk too low below the trees.

A shame because you can see that one of it's moons looks very close. Considering the sun set a few hours ago in the west I know where that is, Jupiter is in the south and Callisto is just to the right of it, it is pretty consistent that in a solar system with us on a globe turned away from the sun, Jupiter out there some distance away, Callisto seems roughly in the right place to be casting a shadow on Jupiter's surface. If observed for a few hours it will appear to move across the front with the shadow leading.

It is the start of the astronomy season now the nights are getting darker, so if I do capture anything, I'll post it up here. A bit of daylight investigation required in the morning.

It goes along the lines of " well, it looks like there's observable, testable and repeatable experiments that show the Earth not to be a spinning globe.
However, when people can stand up and argue for water convexly curving and yet still showing a level, then you simply have to carry on doing your own stuff while they adhere to their stuff.

Maths is just that. There's nothing wrong with maths as long as it's used for the right calculations.
This is where the problem lies when a spinning global Earth is involved.

Two key points - water does curve, you keep saying it stays flat but it simply doesn't. Secondly mathematics works or it doesn't, you can't make it fit something to suit in fact mathematics is based on observable phenomena and is worked out ot fit those phenomenon it isn't simply changed to suit. You simply don't understand enough of it to suit i.e. you keep stating the fall on a globe is squared as the distance increases which is utterly wrong and based on a flawed premise - the maths in itself is fine but the way it is applied by the flat earth clowns is wrong as it assumes you travel along a horizontal line normal to the starting point of your observations NOT tracking around a sphere which is reality and you simply cannot grasp this so keep repeating drivel with rubbish explanations even showing photos which show exactly what I am stating. I asked a long time ago if you could perceive a fall of liquid in a bath tub of fractions of an inch (0.006 inches I think but I cannot be bothered to look back) which you conveniently ignored so I will ask it again - can you perceive a small curve in your bath if not then how do you know it isn't curved you utter clown.

Should change the title to ‘Put a flat earther on ignore’.
I think he gives an interesting insight into how conspiracy theorists think. Pretty much seems to be have a doubt about the accepted norm or just completely fail to understand the accepted norm because of a lack of education, think it is a conspiracy and the world is out to get him with so many covering up the lie, make up an alternate reality where most branches of science behave differently, ignore maths as irrelevant or just plain wrong, then make out that everyone else are the stupid ones blindly following the words of our 'leaders'. Dismiss all proof for the accepted model as bollocks or flawed then put faith into something with zero proof, where many components can be disproved. Write provocative posts to get attention and feel better about themselves.

If you look into other conspiracy theorist forums, the pattern is very similar, no matter what the conspiracy. Disregard everything, literally everything, make up something and believe in it without proof. Assume everyone else is either stupid or part of the lie. Also the language is always the same, usually avoiding direct statements, hinting at something more to make readers ask more questions or just that bit patronizing for the more angry reaction.

Unfortunately some of these have had an impact on the rest of us, like the whole anti-vax thing. That got so much attention (largely because of momentum built up about negative aspects of covid vaccinations before one had even been produced), that it seems 6 million Brits have sufficient doubts to risk getting and spreading covid further. Look at some of the protest rallies "If you have the vaccination, it will give them a patent on your DNA, you will not own the rights to your DNA any more, they will". Completely absurd, literally no basis, but big crowds absorbing it going "Boooooo".

It is a fascinating but worrying trend in society. At least some nutter thinking they live in a snow globe is relatively harmless and just gives us a laugh.

As is this. Not so long ago you were considered a conspiracy theorist if you disputed the JFK lone nutter story or reckoned governments and/or the military were paying more attention to UFOs than they were letting on. These days if you question anything you're automatically considered a tin foil hat wearer who doesn't believe in the moon landings, or even the moon, science, physics or gravity and thinks we all live in a git big balloon. I'd send my CT membership card back but then they would know where I live....

Oh and we still need a diagram of this cell stuff with all the crystals and stuff

😂 both cases you’ve stated had evidence hidden away by the American government.

flat earthers and the like cling to their theories in the face of overwhelming evidence in the public domain to the contrary. There’s quite a difference mind

Eh?
What evidence did the American government hide in the JFK assassination?
