Virat Kholi

Be a great day when the prick finally fucks off for good I reckon. A shit stain on the game in my opinion, brought the game into disrepute in the winter, and is, as the above says, utterly classless. All the while he is breeding a generation of Indian cricket supporters in his image. 🤢🤮

i think hes tremendous and we need players who absolutely love test cricket and continue to fight for it has he does. The trumpet stuff is just good crack imo. England fans were slaughtering them in the last test and we all belly laughed at 'Siraj / Virat / Shami whats the score which is perfectly fine - also some of the stuff we have dished out to the likes of Mitchell Johnson means we shouldn't get precious when we get a bit back. Hes great.

Caveat - I dont expect anyone on here to agree

While I agree fully with the point in bold, arguing Virat’s your man is a bit like proposing Harold Shipman as an ambassador for the NHS.

He’s a prick and shows it on the field time and time again. His true colours shone through in the winter and his behaviour to the umpires was disgraceful, yet virtually nothing is said or done, he escapes censure and is free to carry on as he pleases (see also Ponting leaving the field and verbally abusing Duncan Fletcher in the 05 Ashes): certain players are bigger than the game in that respect and the fawning from the media and public only serves to enable them.

Caveat, I don’t expect you to agree.

I can't watch this India side unless they are getting thrashed

Hell of a player but the dressing room is more important than an individual. If he started trouble in there - he would be gone for me.

We had Buttler calling Philander a 'f***ing knobhead'
Stokes calling a spectator a 'four eyed c**t'
Jason Roy taking ages to leave when given out - shaking his head, swearing when given out against the Aussies
Bairstow hitting his stumps with his bat when given out against Pakistan.
Swann and other pissing on the Oval pitch after beating the Aussies - just laddish stuff but imagine if Kohli did it.
Obviously the Stokes and Hales stuff which they did get sanctioned for but is on a different planet to anything Kohli gets criticised for.

I guarantee none of the above (Stokes and Hales aside) would have had many negative comments on here - I doubt Broad not even appealing for LBWs and celebrating the wicket as if its out would get peoples anger up. However Kohli pressurises an umpire and hes a disgrace.

Honestly not trying to pick a fight mate a genuine question. Do the players mentioned consistently behave like that? ;).Kohli has been proven guilty of this behaviour time and time again because he knows he can get away with it. Doesn't have half the grace and class of Sachin.

Kohli swore at Anderson at Lords. So what? You’re not seriously comparing any of the above to what Kohli did in the winter? I won’t go over the off field stuff as that’s completely irrelevant and was dealt with at the time.

Not a fight at all just good debate ;) Ive seen Kohli against England for a number of series and I felt in the winter he went over the line but no I don't think he does it consistently. I think hes aggressive and gives and takes stuff off the likes of Anderson, Broad and others. I get people not liking him but think people go over the top. I mean in the winter some on here were outraged because I was told he threw a batting helmet down on the wicket. I didnt see it at the time and was expecting some sort of national incident like Shahid Afridi jumping up and down and scraping the pitch on a length. When i saw it he gently threw the helmet to Pant who wasnt watching and it dribbled onto the wicket. Generally I just think we cant take getting beat.

Correct, if we had an English player doing the things Kohli does he’d be lauded as a hero. The double standards people have when it comes to their own players or teams in sport is laughable.

Why would they be lauded as a hero?
It’s no different to the Aussies under Smith and they were regularly criticised by most people.
Pietersen had a similar ego/arrogance and plenty think he’s a prick

The helmet was just one incident in a pattern of behaviour from him and his team. I’m not sure why you constantly downplay it. Let’s not forget he was warned for running in the danger area due to running across the wicket while completing a run in the second Test - something he also did during the Oval Test.

All with the backdrop of sacking their groundsman and doctoring their pitches just because they got walloped in the first Test

If we’re talking about double standards Buttler was fined 15% of his match fee and given a demerit point for the altercation with Philander. Why wasn’t Kohli given one for telling Anderson that Lords isn’t his ‘f***ing backyard’?

Technically he’s right like, but it’s more Jimmy’s f***ing backyard than it will ever be his, the tit.

As I said before if he was one of ours we would love him!

Of course you are spot on, sports fans are biased and see through they own biased eyes

If they play for your team they competitive and people love them, if they play for the opposition they wankers in football it’s even worse
