England vs India (fourth test) The Oval

From a comment on Cricinfo

KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma have batted out 985 balls for the first wicket (20.3 overs at an average) in this series. Only one opening pair batted longer in a Test series in England since 1999

What are the commentators even discussing?
There was a ‘spike’ as it brushed thee back pad …..and an even bigger one with clear distance between bat and front pad when he got a nick.
Don’t care if you think you didn’t hit it KL…..you did on the evidence on show.

Yeah they have mate, played quite well in the series imo, apart from odd sessions.

Too much gloom and doom on here sometimes,we no where near as bad as side as made out at times.

Were a very good bowling side. That keeps us competitive. We aren’t a good batting side at all. If Root doesn’t score heavily we are highly unlikely to get scores over 300.
Can you see that being a problem on that wicket?

There weren’t too many demons on the Lords pitch either. Mindset comes into it.
