Mortimer & Whitehouse Gone Fishing

My best sea trout was just on 12lb from the south Tyne, just down from humpback Bridge at Featherstone, best salmon 22lb 10 from the pool directly downstream of the Lambley road bridge
Many years ago as you needed a Haltwhistle post code to be a member of Haltwhistle and district club.. Luckily my gran lived in Park Village not far from Featherstone Castle, some of the best salmon beats that far up the Tyne.

Can only dream of fishing like that now, I was so lucky to be growing up there, every summer holidays it was either fishing or shooting
Used to get clonking browns and eels when the river was in spate as well

Mentioned to a guy that I was trying to target Zander and he gave me some spots, but this is what interested me, a 90lb Wels on the bank local.I have spoken to a couple of guys who have hooked up and couldn't stop whatever species it was, they always assumed big carp.

Good to see Ted getting an increased role in this week's escapades.

As soon as Ted and Cheese was mentioned my Ted charged at the TV.
:)

That was wonderful, many happy memories fishing for Tench down here, early Morning starts, bubbles as they feed and 4am on a Lake with just nature and the World waking up.

These two are just wonderful, taking the sting out of every day life.
