England v India (Third Test) Headingley

I've just watched a replay of the potential review, its actually quite annoying how Root was asking "did he hit it?" and nobody seems to answer him. Half the team should be nowhere near the England team based on their performances, so the least they can do is answer a question

Bumble  I've done the Otley Run, when a ODI v Sri Lanka was rained off. Fair to say I was not well the day after.

I don't think it was a conscious effort to smash boundaries, I genuinely think that they don't know how to play any other way
India are decent unfortunately, they had to turn up at one point.
Would have looked less decent the longer we batted and more roughed up the pitch. They have given Ali insufficient to work with. Even then I can't believe how long Root left it to bring him on. I knew we'd give them a sniff of getting back onto this as Root is too reactive.

Bumble is superb, could listen to him all day. Was in the Skyrack and Original Oak last night, didn't see him.

If it’s a feather (or lack of) on a 80mph ball on a noisy ground it’s not easy to give a conclusive answer TBF. If it was he’d have known the answer himself.

Woakes played for Warks 2 this week. I think he’ll play at least one of the next seven.
If he’s back now playing you are right he’s an obvious replacement for Curran. He would IMO be a poor selection is Aus but we will see. I worry about Woakes when he hasn’t played much cricket tho I remember him being brought back for the Headingly test against the Aussies and he bowled terribly the day Jordan’s took 6 for 44 in perfect swing bowling conditions. However needs must.

It’s decisions like today’s that makes me question DRS  The first one was dead and I remain convinced was hitting and that recent one was missing leg and I’m still convinced it was!

Same for me, I still think the ball tracking is miles away from being something that can be relied on 100%. Loads of decisions I’m not sure on

When you moan it’s not that you are necessarily wrong. Our late middle order batting was poor yesterday and batting longer would have benefited us. I would also have had Ali on earlier. I just can’t believe that almost all of the points you raise ‘dog shit batting’ etc seem to be either angry or critical or both when we are playing some great cricket and thrashing a very good side.

Anderson been terrible like has to be said
