Aye by getting knocked out of every competition at the earliest point ya git dick  . Also amazing that Newcastle fans seem to care all about the integrity of the competitions in this country whilst at the same time crying about the Saudis not being able to buy them trophies.

At one point last night Newcastle had over 100 million quid worth of attacking " talent ' on the pitch not including Wilson and the 10 million Muto who's gone and was useless.....Maybe the money has been there but just bought the wrong players dunno

The problem is that Ashley, despite claiming to run the club properly, has not reduced our debt to him. We still 'owe' him the thick end of 130m. We're not asking for miracles, just some honesty of intent. Get the debt wiped off, surely by now he's had his pound of flesh. Ashley is a terrible owner, the proof of that is that loads of your lot say he's doing a great job. I don't want the Saudis either, I'd sooner be in league two with you lot than in the premier with Ashley and Bagpuss Bruce as the manager.

No he’s not. The vast majority of his time at the club you have been a PL team

Your problem is that you all seem to think that a few year blip with Keegan is the norm of where NUFC should be rather than the exception

THE most deluded fans in English football by an absolute country mile

The cost of the players does not reflect their ability. Add in that there's a bloke called Steve Bruce managing them and devising the tactics and it's a good recipe for a big shit sandwich.

Tbf last night the Burnley keeper had an unbelievable game apparently so sometimes in football luck and circumstance plays a huge part in a result. Maybe you should blame the forwards for not taking one of the numerous chances instead of blaming the manager all the time as this seems an easy target

It's been years since it happened, but I'm happy to give credit to a Mag for that self-deprecating response.

But the fact that it was spent surely means the owner has done his bit?

Ellis Short stumped up big cash and we had idiots that wasted it - you are in the same boat

Relegated twice under Ashley and the debt has not decreased. That much is FACT. I'm really not concerned that you think we're the most deluded fans in English football, I've heard this for years from Sky pundits. I know what we are, having been a supporter since I can remember and attending games since 1973. We have our share of arseholes and idiots, but I think that's not something unique to us. Take a look at your own fan base for examples. Fuck sake, there's a few of your nuggets just been photographing themselves with a 'No More Refugees' banner outside your ground. Does that mean you're all a bunch of knackers? Of course not.

Blah blah blah

How would you have survived without the loan? He is charging zero percent interest (albeit gaining free advertising so the two really net each other other). Would you rather you had an external loan at 7.9% to Macquarie or MSD, accruing interest at 10m+ p.a., where if you default you are bankrupt or the terms are reviewed periodically and the rate can go up or the debt could be sold on or there are charges on your assets?

You can't moan about lack of transfers or infrastructure expenditure and at the same time say he should be reducing the debt to him.

We had 3 shots on target. Not sure that makes for an unbelievable game.
Joelinton and Dwight Gayle as forwards.
18 attemps at goal.
5 of them were from Jeff Hendrick (one on target)
4 from Joelinton 0 on target.
2 from Gayle (1 on target)
3 from longstaff (0 on target)
1 on target from Manquillo.
1 each from Clark, Lewis and Lascelles (0 on target).

Willock and ASM came off the bench on 76 minutes and had 8 and 9 touches each.
Almiron came on with 7 minutes left and also done nothing.
