Have I missed something here? Norwich have just been promoted so are guaranteed £100M. They have a Championship squad. The Mags spent £100M last season. Norwich are spending what they're guaranteed.

So last season (20/21) was £35m.
Two seasons ago (19/20) was £65m
You have added two seasons worth of spending together. Now I see your error.

We also bought Joelinton and ASM before the 19/20 season started. That tends to happen in the summer transfer window. Players sign before the season starts.
Joelinton, ASM and Krafth were 19/20.
Wilson and Lewis 20/21.
Willock 21/22.
It's pretty easy to see that.

So you’re agreeing that Ashley spent around £125m between the summer of 2019 and the summer of 2021, basically over 2 years, but as this just breaks into a 3rd season by a couple of weeks, he can then be criticised for being tight and not spending anything on the squad.

I guess they're not talking NET SPEND when it suits them. The Chronicle have clearly ignored the £30m+ and addons Norwich got for Emiliano Buendia.

They're also ignoring the possible £30-40m less Norwich (

). I just quickly googled this but regardless of amount it will be a shit load more of money they will have left due to the increased PL money. I'd presume that Norwich also have less running costs throughout the club so again a little bit less of the PL money going elsewhere so can go on players.

The shite they come out with at times is laughable 😂🤣
