One of the reasons I just can’t get into franchise stuff from any country. No local connection for any of the teams, just a city name and where they play. Like the football

I don't find it so bad with the IPL and Big Bash as I don't know who they usually play for and they do tend to stick with a team for a number of years. I guess familiarity breeds contempt with the 16.4

I find myself looking it up for the other leagues tbf to see exactly how many “locals” are playing for them. Aye I’m that sad but I’m interested to know and it’s on in the winter so fuck all else to do :lol:

Usually it’s about 1 or 2 in the IPL although the Big Bash isn’t too bad tbf. Teams made up mostly of local state players with a few random additions from other states

If this was York’s v lancs in the Blast it would have been a close finish and a cracking chase, because it always is close with drama and twists and turns in that fixture. Because it means the world to those playing and watching

Some of the teams are awful, not sure if that's because of overseas players being unavailable. But a lot of average foreigners playing, like the end of the Big Bash after they extended it.
