But but best fans in the walled
The passion is gone. Its just gone. Going to the match is the worst part of the day. Blind loyalty, stupidity, whatever you want to call it.

This argument about best fans is daft. Anyone above the age of 12 can admit both Newcastle and Sunderland have cracking (and probably overly loyal) fans.
Marvellous. Should try to put up with the kicking we’ve had
Aye, you've had it even worse. It'll get better again, it tends to.

Last I read I think I was about 16000 empty seats? I can see myself happily missing games this season like. Apathy well and truly set in.
Aside from the 10,000 who walked away in summer 2019...
I think there would've been a lot who had enough but still went out of habit. Wanted to cancel but couldn't imagine not going. Since the pandemic shut things down, people haven't been at the match since March 2020, so have now seen that you can do other things. Plus the money saved, 700 for a ticket plus match day spends. I think there'll be quite a few in that position that have chucked it.

Aside from the booing, some anti-Bruce sentiments were evident - including an unfavourable comparison to one of his predecessors Steve McClaren....

However the loudest chant of the night referenced the abortive takeover and arbitration case; "Premier League's corrupt" (to the tune of the "Peter Lovenkrands, on a free.....")

How are they so f***ing stupid man?

Not to mention the sheer depravity of wanting these terrorist financing, taliban supporting, head chopping, journalist dismembering, 9-11 suspects in charge in the first place.

Just unbelievable supporters.

And "Sunderland's getting battered" that got an enthusiastic rendition didn't it? Not that you lot are obsessed with us though ;)

Would be pretty embarrassing for the mags if their crowds dropped significantly this season after all they love telling other clubs about empty seats. They'll be giving away free season tickets next

Ashley will give away 10k free tickets again.

And the ones that said they were ‘niva ganning back’ will take them.

That's the bit I don't get. She's quite clearly and so obviously a grifter. A tyre kicker. And the joke is with all this focus on her, any other potential (genuine) buyers aren't gonna want to know. So actually, any takeover is being put back by all of this, not advanced.
I’ve no idea mate. Never did. Perhaps it’s because she’s constantly bleating what they want to hear in spite of evidence to the contrary. It’s inexplicable.

Its a f***ing hard life watching PL football mind. Jesus

if ashley has managed to find a buyer for 300-350m ish, is that overpriced considering the big clubs are valued at billions? if its not, why arent there queues of buyers? considering they'll be paraded through the streets as saviours.

Would hAve thought people would be desperate to go post-pandemic. I could see it being sold out depending on how many are allowed in.

One of my mates (older) is still struggling with the thought of large crowds and things opening up. Not sure at what point he will come back.
