Where is the 20 goal a season striker to replace the one who got us 30 last season? Where is our new goalkeeper to replace the one who cost us around 12 points last season. Where are our full backs? Have we now got creativity in midfield and pace in our team we’ve needed for years? A few people seem happy with the signings but the squad is thread bare. Expected so much more. Hopefully we bring a few more in but the season starts next week. Doesn’t suggest great planning to me. Ps why on earth isn’t the club shop open.

Im not.

said it for weeks on here, people who thought because we had a billionaire owner we were going to spunk cash didn’t understand FFP or how it worked.

Again as I’ve said before the warning was in Leadbitters post when he said “they are young give them time” we were always going to mainly use the under 23s and the young members of the squad. How could people not see that.

Wyke scored about 40 goals in his three seasons, he had one good season and he isn’t a 20 goal a season striker, he’s a 30 goal in a one off season striker, he won’t get 20 goals next season and you can bookmark this.

I’m not happy about the difficulties this summer but I understand them. New owners, new structure, new staff covid etc all playing a part in complicating matters. I’ve mentally written this year off. Promotion from this position would be a miracle imo. Hopefully we’re in a better place to sort ourselves out next year

The 17 year old looks quality tbf. Who gives a fuck about his age and that he's on loan? About time we made the most of the loan market.

Let's see how many games he plays. He looked canny against Hearts, it'll be remarkable if the lad is up to it for a full season at his age, let's hope he is as our only other options are Bailey-Wright and Flanagan.

Aye let's see, let's not write him off.

Oh, I'm not writing him off at all, he looks a prospect. I just don't think we can pin our hopes on a 17 y/o lad. He needs careful management and I think Man City will be very much involved in his development whilst he's here in terms of how often he's selected etc. we'll wait and see I guess.

Stewart looks more likely to score 30 goals this season than Wyke did this time last season.
Wyke scored two pre-season goals last season. Stewart a big fat zero so far, bearing in mind we have scored 9 pre-season to date, and Stewart hasn't figured.

Hope people who are "waiting to see" did actually note that the manager said he was having sleepless nights

A few hardcore posters on here put so much faith in this new broom / structure / approach that they can't possibly now express concern or even acknowledge it exists.

To the point where a few on this thread have suggested the thread should never been posted in the first place.

We're approaching a 'desperately need a good start to the season' point, just so a bit more time can be graced

Well I agree with you. Underwhelmed springs to mind.
The fact that the club offer a new strip for sale, take peoples money then don’t deliver is a disgrace too. I know they are taking advantage of furlough but whoever decided not to open the club shop at a time when new strips were supposedly for sale, wants possing in shyte.
Shambles.
Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
