I’m sorry but the situation now is bordering on incompetence. I’m sick to death of being told to judge us at the end of the transfer window , the season is almost upon us and our potential signings should be bedding in not still at other clubs .Getting ridiculous now, 12 days to go to Wigan ffs.
All well and good doing due diligence on a player and not being held to ransom, but it's looking unlikely that there'll be a canny few additions in time for Wigan the way we are going about things.
Are we offering contracts that aren't long enough, offering piss poor wages - just why are targets not coming (other than clubs refusing to sell or loan).
Never had faith in the so called new model, and have even less now.
It's pathetic man
Were you expecting the "wait until the end of the window" people to suddenly cave 5 weeks before the closing of the window and agree with you?I’m sorry but the situation now is bordering on incompetence. The main reason will likely be clubs refusing to sign off deals until they have replacements lined up themselves, if players are stalling it will be because they're waiting to see if they get championship offers, which there isn't much we can do about.Getting ridiculous now, 12 days to go to Wigan ffs.

if the playoffs were next week I'd agree with youAbsolutely turgid performance so far. Guessing we don’t fancy a go at the play offs this year then
I hope you’re right and we have some excellent players just waiting to come through the door but I bet you wouldn’t put your house on it . Even the three lads we have brought in could go either way . We have lost our best defender and our only goal outlet from last season and this is at a time when I believe the league will be at its most competitive for years . We really need to get a move on and that’s not bed wetting , it’s reality. Were you expecting the "wait until the end of the window" people to suddenly cave 5 weeks before the closing of the window and agree with you?
We need to ensure we sign the right players by the end of the window. I understand it might cost us a few points between now and end of August. But signing the wrong players will cost us points all season, and even into next season, as we'll be stuck with shite players on 2 year contracts that we can't shift next summer.
We’ll be nowhere near at the end of the season either.if the playoffs were next week I'd agree with you![]()

absolutely not bed wetting. I'm nervous and anxious about it as well.I hope you’re right and we have some excellent players just waiting to come through the door but I bet you wouldn’t put your house on it . Nobody can guarantee it. I'm nervous as well. But that's the strategy and the point stands. I'd rather sign first choice on 30th August than 5th choice in June. The issue will be if we sign 5th choice on 30th August. And at that point we can all criticise / judge the window. But until then, as frustrating as it is for all of us, we need to have a little faith. People can moan about it, but people shouldn't be saying completely dismissive stuff like "we'll never get promoted now".Out of interest, what makes you think we'll find the right players at the end of the window?

I'd much rather we signed two full backs before Wigan, but think he looked decent there in pre-season so wouldn't be the end of the world filling in until we can get the right player.I put it in the matchday thread the other day but Winchester was a right back before going in to Cm for Forest Green and played there under LJ at Oldham. I wouldn’t be surprised if we is our cover there for the season and will play there until we get a RB in.
How can we accelerate the process? Move down our target list? offer more money to players and/or clubs? Do you imagine we're not working hard enough?I hope you’re right and we have some excellent players just waiting to come through the door but I bet you wouldn’t put your house on it . How do other teams manage it ? We will end up like the Will Grigg situation, where all our targets have gone , clubs know we are desperate and we will end up taking risks or paying over the odds anyway .How can we accelerate the process? I reckon its because Lee Johnson fancies a challenge and doesn't want to sign any players. And KLD is desperate to stay in League 1 so that he doesn't have to spend any money next season trying to get promoted to that bloody premier league.
In yourNeed to hold our nerve, hopefully they are going for quality rather than quantity.
