When I look at Mars, it's actually quite hard to align the telescope to point to it, so I use the internet to tell me where it will be in our sky at a certain time.

It's always there at the right place.

If you plot that position on paper you can see it relate perfectly to the orbits.

So just to clarify, it doesn't actually stop and go the other direction, it just appears to because of the different orbits.

Your "mirror" theory doesn't work due to the way reflections work. We've spoken about this before on another thread, but there's no way to explain the movement of the stars in the night sky in different places on Earth using your reflections theory, whereas by some strange coincidence the movement can be absolutely perfectly explained with ZERO factor of error if Earth is indeed an oblate spheroid. Weird that.

It can be explained because the so called oblate spheroid is caked in all kinds of magical mysteries to get it to work.
You follow that train of thought like I did, once upon a time.

The massive amount of questions and the obscure answers that cannot be verified and people accept it because it's schooled from young to old age.
Just my opinion and I have absolutely no issue with what anyone believes. I simply have my own thoughts.

worked out orbits were elliptical whilst his mother was being tried for witchcraft.

What? No it doesn't! It's basic motion and only involves someone looking upwards at night for a period of time to see it working.

You can observe yourself the stars making an apparent path across the sky centred around a polar point in the northern and southern hemispheres (however you want to describe them - I know you don't believe in such things, so let's say using your model of the world, "somewhere close to the centre of the world like Britain" and "somewhere far away from the centre of the world, like Australia" as being places that I'm referring to when I'm saying "northern hemisphere" and "southern hemisphere")...

...and if you're near the equator, the stars appear to go across the sky in a straight path instead (again, when I'm talking about "a place on the equator", replace that text using your model with "a place midway between the middle of the world and the outer rim of the world, such as The Sahara").

There are NOT "a massive amount of questions that cannot be verified" in the slightest. It's nothing to do with schooling, brainwashing or any other such conspiracy theorist bullshit, it's verifiable science that any schoolchild can perform in their own back garden and think "oh yeah, that's pretty obvious really".

There are no "magical mysteries" as you put it, which is exactly what you would need for it to be some weird kind of convoluted array of mirrors that every person has orbiting them personally but invisibly to produce the result of what you or I can see in the sky every night.

It’s fairly obvious he’s on a wind up.
I have this theory that he’s a 45 year old bloke still living with his mam in a two bedroom flat above a laundromat in Dunston. He’s never had the pleasure of a lady, weighs somewhere in the region of 30 stone, lives off oven pizza which his mam brings into his bedroom which he never leaves. He leaves the crusts which get fed to the dog who, because @Nukehasslefan is mildly agoraphobic doesn’t get walked and therefore shits all over the kitchen/dining/living area.
His mam, 76 years old who is on the NHS waiting list for a double hip replacement and walks with two sticks has to pick up the shit when the smell gets too much because he won’t as he struggles to bend over due to the size of his gut. The smell doesn’t bother him at all due to his own body odour being so much worse. This will be compounded by the stench emanating from his bedroom that he has set up as his own little wank palace, the floor of which is covered with wank socks that even though he lives above the laundromat never see the inside of a washing machine. His main ‘turn on’ for his mastabatory sessions revolve around French midget porn but when he gets bored with that he comes onto the SMB where threads like this serve to fill those socks with semen in much the same way.
Like I said, it’s a theory. It may be true or it may not be but it’s as good as any other.

It's not a case of "acceptance of a model" or "storytellers", it's a case of "look up in the sky... oh yeah, now I can see" and "look at how mirrors or prisms work, oh yeah, now I see".

Your proposal is impossible without the use of some weird kind of all-powerful magic that distorts the way we all observe the sky at night.

And that's just ONE of ENDLESS different examples that can be presented that can be absolutely perfectly explained for an oblate spheroid world with simple observation and sub-GCSE maths, that cannot be explained by non-magical means if the world is ANY OTHER SHAPE.

If you disagree, show us your working.

Show us your maths that explains it.
Show us your diagrams.
Show us your map of the world.
Show us ANYTHING that backs up your theory and disproves ours.
