The Hundred - Free tickets

Unlike the women's version which got an obsequious write-up on the BBC website (not surprising given it was their first live cricket for about 30 years), it seems it's not a fresh family crowd but the same old pissed-up white male wankers in the crowd.
Not watching so can’t comment, what makes them wankers? They having fun?

I've yet to see the camera pan to these vociferous fans

I was under the impression this was who it was pandering to? 'Have a night out getting pissed and we'll entertain you between trips to the bar'

8 £5 pints brings in more dosh than a bairn getting a burger and a coke.

Err... apart from the men's T20 international which they showed last week.

What's this cut-off shite about? Why hobble your new fresh format with silly pernickety time limits for what is never going to turn into a long drawn out ground out draw.

A pint hasn't been £5 at the Oval for several years.

Quality of the cricket is decent which is the most important thing.

Crowd sound like they are having a good time. Graphics and commentary won't be bothering them.
Do you think so? I didn't see the first innings but I think it's been really quite poor, very scratchy. Nobody's heart really seems to be in it. Buttler for one

Well I stuck with it to understand the rule changes and format to see if it makes it better.
Decided the rule changes didn’t, but credit to cricket they are willing to try anything.
Camera in the batsmen’s helmet was a failure for me also.
Aweful to watch and listen to on the TV for me, assume it will be a cracking day out on the drink mind.

Gan to a T20 mate. 40 extra balls of beer ;)
Even better spend the day on the lash at a 50 over game

Well watched the 2nd innings and nothing special although loads of the better English players involved.
Sadly for those who want it to fail that was a huge crowd and when you compare it to T20 blast matches at a lot of county grounds it was like an international.
Not really my cup of tea if I had the choice I would have preferred to have been at Beckenham watching Durham in a 50 over game. But sadly iam a dinasour and I doubt it would work at the Riverside.

I found Chris from Love Island interviewing Chunkz from YouTube enthralling - so glad they included that feature in the tonight’s broadcast.

Turns out Chunkz doesn’t really like cricket that much
