They didn’t become wealthy by being stupid with their money and are quite happy to throw a few million into a consortium as long as they don’t have to pick up the majority of the tab if/when it all falls apart.

After the purchase of the club, they could easily spend another £500m just to get the club infrastructure tidied up and push the club into the top half of the league. A total outlay of a billion wouldn’t guarantee a Champions League place, which would be needed to continue to pay the wages of any top player daft enough to sign for them.

They are property developers so I couldn’t imagine they’d want to pump a fortune into the ground which they could never own and moving would cost another small fortune and upset the locals by moving from their ‘spiritual home’.

Just my opinion of course.

Because they aren’t. They said so themselves. She’s a shitehawk. The only thing that surprises me about her being shown up for what she is by Jordan is why she went on in the first place. She must have thought she was going to get the same easy passage she gets off look North Korea. Or maybe her good friend Jim white told her he would protect her.
