Steve Wraith turning up :lol::lol:

Anything that’s good for the Steve Wraith image he’s there. What a Jawdee.

Amanda sounded like she didn’t have a clue there. Came across like a bumbling idiot. No doubt Jim white got her on to whip the fan base into a frenzy as it’s her only play.

She sounds thick as a wrestlers neck. Totally inarticulate.

And that Jim White is possibly one of the worst humans on earth.

I don't want to be unkind to those (40 odd) who went to Parliament Square but for many NUFC will be there entire life. They are blind to all rhyme and reason. Sometimes I engage with them on Twitter and tell them that buying 0.7% of Disney is not comparable to buying 80% of NUFC but obviously get told to f**k off. Due to my job I am knowledgeable of Sovereign Wealth Funds, so the name PIF wasn't a new one for me last year. I believe AS has told them they are cheap and with a small investment they could turn a profit. This fits in with their investment style, throwing billions at it doesn't.

I dont have the knowledge of sovereign wealth funds you may have. But I said at the time that the key letter in PiF is the I. Investment.

I got loads of stick from mags when I pointed out that spending millions on players (who could easily get injured) is not a great "investment".

Spot on.

Elaborate? I think I missed your point.

All investments involve an element of risk. Any wise investor insures against this risk. Football clubs insure their players against injury.

(Unfortunately, I don't think you can insure against loss of form or being crap, or NUFC could claim against Joelinton).... :lol:

Can someone please explain how the government have anything to do with this
I caught summat, on Breakfast News, about a 9 year old kid who'd written to Boris Johnson asking him to look after the 'Penalty Three'. In all honesty he's more likely to get a response than these mentalists. They seem to have forgotten the golden rule that people avoid nutters on the bus and turn their backs.

I see. They would invest, of that I am sure, but not at Mbappe levels. Double their money in five years and sell to some American hedge fund in a LBO, like Burnley. Mags will be crying because queen Amanda is ousted.

Is there owt happening with this takeover or not?
Just waiting for the government to persuade the Saudi’s to forget about buying a football club and simply invest in Durham and Sunderland.

The people of Durham and Sunderland will be happy, the mags will be happy to see investment in the region, the Saudi’s will be happy, the PL will be happy, the rest of the country will be happy to hear the end of the mags crying, everyone will be happy.

I think those days are over anyway. Regardless of who does or doesn't buy a club.

It's all gonna come down to seperation and this arbitration. PIF were being founded and funded by the Saudi state, have the purpose of enriching the Saudi state, being chaired by the de facto ruler of state and have a board made up of govt ministers.... there's mags out there that think it's separate, that they are free and have autonomy. Thick as mince man. Not even the consortium think that, doesn't mean that they can't win in court though.
