A real scientist is one who actually looks for the truth and doesn't pass off theories as factual. You have made some amazingly bizarre comments but the one i have quoted above is about the dumbest. Who is a real scientist? Galileo, copernicus, newton, einstein?
Post graduate engineering qualifications qualify you on what shape the Earth is and what space is, etc, does it?I hold postgraduate engineering qualifications so don't need convincing and am not the problem here.
You however have a clear and present inability to follow advice, also possibly having had some kind of mental episode.
Dribble on bro
Nobody's arguing against provable real world engineering. All you have learned is just made up made. The fact you can apply it to real world engineering probablems is just coincidence
You are assuming people are stood at the double top, double 6, double 3 and double 11, etc, facing the outer rim.Perhaps I did a crap job of describing the scenario I was talking about.
Imagine we all live on a dartboard:
Logon or register to see this image
If we have a number of people living on the treble line and they look at something above the bullseye, where north is the bullseye, they all see the same thing. Someone living on treble 20 looks at the same thing as someone living on the treble 6 only it a different way round. This matches what we observe so all good.
Now imagine those people turn around so their backs are away from the bull, opposite of north is south, so they all walk in opposite directions from each other, getting further apart until they hit the double line. Someone standing on the double 20 looks up into the night sky and can see something. The person living on the double 6 looks up and sees something different, it can't be the same thing as the person on the 20 as they have their back to it. They are looking at a different side of the dome. Now picture someone on the double 1 looking straight ahead/due 'south' they don't see the southern cross that 20 saw straight ahead because that is 18 degrees to the left. They can not both see it straight ahead. If there was some strange light thing going on, what about someone half way between the two on 9 degrees?
This does not match observational evidence. This leaves three possibilities.
1) Everyone who has ever observed the southern night sky is telling a lie to cover up the flat earth scenario
2) The earth is not a flat dartboard like structure
3) There is something really odd going on where no matter which direction you look at south, the dome shows you the same picture only rotated.
Which one is it? If it is 3, can you explain how that can possibly work? You like to use the planetarium example. Does that effect ever happen in planetarium?
Until someone can provide some evidence of how this might work and not some handwavey thing saying "oh you can't see it because it is what you have been lead to believe" then I don't think the idea has any credibility at all.
You must also be assuming a flat earth circle.
You re asking me to go on that. How can I when I don't subscribe to that?
