SMB Tennis thread

What a win, and what a great talent we have on our hands. She plays Tomljanovic next which on paper, is probably more favourable than her last two (although Vondrousova isn't great on grass), but there's a chance the run may go further yet.

It's got to be on Centre on Monday!

Nice win for Federer should have got the job done in 3, I'd expect him to beat Sonego but maybe over 4/5 sets.
Real shame about Krygios as he genuinely looked up for it.
Berrettini 89% 1st serve, 20 aces....serves like that and he makes the final.
Medvedev struggling against a good Cilic
Zverev v Felix 4th round
*66% 1st serves and 82% won

I have tickets for tomorrow. Driving up from Dorset, anyone know where would be the best place to park. I know we'll have to use public transport for the last part of the journey. Many thanks

I do like the Wimbledon traditions for the most part but I'm glad they're binning off middle Sundays from next year. It's a bit of a wasted day. Some of the matches look great tomorrow though, Gauff v Kerber (Kerber's a great price for that), Swiatek v Jabeur, Raducanu v Tomljanovic and Shapo v RBA the stand outs for me.

Kyrgios still in the mixed dubs draw I see even after pulling out of singles :-)

Thought Raducanu might have been on Centre although Court No 1 is still a main court mind.

How was the day @3.142?

A bit unlucky with the weather early on regarding outside matches being suspended, and the Kyrgios retirement, but I'd have been buzzing for the Raducanu match alone.

Was great thanks.

Didn't get to see anything on the outside courts early on, but Raducanu was phenomenal and great atmosphere. Kyrgios retirement meant I watched the end of Rogers game from on the hill, then back to court 1 for the men's game. Knew we wouldn't see the end of it and get back for the football, so watched the final set of mixed doubles elsewhere then back in time for the England march.

Top day!

Was shocked at how small this is in person, always looked massive on Tv

I'm guessing she'll be headlining centre court tomorrow evening if she wins tonight at least. Bit daft having a women's match go on last when they've gotta play tomorrow and the men have a rest day.

Looked like she was holding back tears. Hope she’s okay, such ashame to see.
