Back to the proper cricket on Sunday and a huge chance to take a step towards that golden ticket of a place in the top group for the second half of the season.

We’ve already battered them at home, but I’ve no doubt the away fixture will be a much sterner test. The lack of a frontline spinner is a worry as I think the pitch will be slow and this one could very well go the full four days.

I’d LOVE IT (Keegan style) if Ben Stokes is made available, but I can’t see it. The England v Pakistan ODI Series starts on Thursday, I’ve not seen or heard any squad announcement, unless they’re just going with the same one that faced Sri Lanka - which would suit us as Stokes isn’t in it.
 

Sanity returns on Sunday! Fingers crossed for some decent weather. I’m guessing Trevaskis, Coughlin, Lees are still unavailable. Can’t see why Burnham should play. Jones has had a good spell with another century for the twos this week.

If Lees is unavailable I’d expect Jones to open. Bit harsh on Burnham, he scored a ton in the game before last.
 
Looks like the weather may have a big say in our game and the Notts v Derbyshire match.

Could all go down to the wire with our home game against Notts beginning Sunday 11th.....and then the long wait until the beginning of September.🤬

No changes to ODI squad so hopefully Stokes is available on Sunday

Yeh,hard to see any positive results this round given the weather forecast.

Could be depends on where Burnham is currently in the coach and captains thoughts at the moment.
If he doesn't play it will be interesting to see who bats at 6. Jones and Dickson are both more top order batsmen which could leave our overseas bat or our star player batting at 6.

Noticeably Brookes,Stones and Moussley missing but Sibley included.

Stone is out for the season IIRC.
