Likewise Teesside... Ironically the two best behaved universities in the region when it comes to cases. Both universities will call it a blessing they weren't as that last night doesn't reflect well on any of the uni's or the cricket clubI wonder why Sunderland University students seem not to have been invited to this ‘North East Invades’ event.
We wouldn't have gone had we known what was intended. Once their it was apparent it was an absolute shambles but nephew wanted to stay, though eventually we all agreed to leave and quite a lot of people were leaving early. We were back in Penshaw/Washington before the game ended.Apart from the puzzle that the game was sold out weeks ago, Durham were very coy and quiet about it all which makes me wonder if some in the club had their doubts about it. Some advance notification, explanation and justification to members and regular supporters might have helped.
I like the bit at the end **If there is a change in Covid 19 restrictions, this will go ahead but with social distancing measures in place**INVADES has an exclusive stand for the event which is only accessible for our customers. - aye fuck the members
Best off out of it - same as the people with an interest in cricket who couldn't get tickets for this game.I wonder why Sunderland University students seem not to have been invited to this ‘North East Invades’ event.
Yes, the fact that seating restrictions was only announced hours before the start was very disrespectful to members.I like the bit at the end **If there is a change in Covid 19 restrictions, this will go ahead but with social distancing measures in place**
Well the grand reopening of the country was postponed on June 21 so it was nice to see all the students observing the social distancing measures that are still in place.

Club will have made a bit dosh from the game but have scored a massive own goal as far as the goodwill of the loyal members is concerned.
How did it impact on your enjoyment? Other than the dismal stuff on the field I mean.We wouldn't have gone had we known what was intended. Has anyone written to the Club to complain? I don’t expect they read this forum.
Depends how much money they made out of it. If it's worth it financially they will do it again.Any chance of Durham saying sorry guys we got this wrong, it won’t happen again?
I've also emailed both Bostock and Dawson regarding the matter.Any chance of Durham saying sorry guys we got this wrong, it won’t happen again?
I sent off an email to Gordon’s link and received a really good reply from Tim - won’t post the full reply but suffice to say he knows they made a mistake and he apologies profusely - ends the reply by saying ‘we got it wrong and for that I apologise’I've also emailed both Bostock and Dawson regarding the matter.
Good. Glad they’re listening. Can‘t ask more than that.Got a reply, fair play to the club, happy to move on and look forward to the next home game n
