would you be forced to have a jab you didn’t want when they could walk away and earn similar money in Primark or Aldi? The problem is replacing them which is already a nightmare

If I worked in Aldi then I'd definitely want to be vaccinated given their customer base :)

I don't go to Aldi very often but popped into our local one the other day while passing and it was the worst display of social distancing and mask wearing I've seen anywhere. Other supermarkets still have very high compliance.

If they cant recruit staff that will solve the problem.

The protection needs to be about importing a virus into care home settings.

If unvaccinated staff are working in care homes the risk increases to the residents.

Yes. But I also think that all workers, who come into contact with either the public or other workers should also be vaccinated.

Its a small risk but its an even smaller risk getting the jab. I really don't understand folks who think its OK for people not to do their bit in the fight against CV19.

I think unvaccinated residents present less of a risk tbh. They're not exactly out and about every day, whereas carers will sometimes have multiple homes they work in, will be mixing with more people, etc.

But a risk all the same. Visitors will need some kind of vaccine passport I'd assume as well.

Still thing the best way to get staff vaccinated is to pay them a one off sum.

I'd have no problem putting a financial incentive in place, though that itself may be seen as exploitative.

Ah but these are some of our lowest paid employees, many can scarcely afford not to take any such incentive, I suspect.

My mother was a care home worker for a number of years, I know all too well how little they're paid for the significant effort they put in.

Aye, sacking them would be much better for them than giving them a couple of hundred quid.
 
Do we force care staff or NHS to take the flu vaccine each year... No! Covid is now endemic like Flu. Yes encourage the benefits of getting vaccinated but we are not North Korea... yet. Plus won't most of the care home residents be vaccinated 🤔

Actually, Big Pharma aren't making a lot of money out of COVID. Most are of the vaccines are being sold at cost price and the pandemic has disrupted their R&D pipelines and clinical trials while sales have been hit as healthcare systems have been unable to treat as many non-COVID patients.

Yeah you have a point but overall I can see share prices generally up since the Covid crash. I should have said specific pharma companies with Covid vaccines. These are all up from before the Covid Feb/March 2020 crash -

AstraZeneca
Moderna
J&J
CureVac
Pfizer
Novavax
BioNtech

Vaccine obsessed Bill Gates just so happened to be invested in all the right ones that's for sure. Must just another coincidence to add to the long list of Covid coincidences including Professor Neil Ferguson giving dodgy wildly exaggerated predictions for every single new virus and being funded by Gates who also just happens to be the biggest funder of the WHO. 😂

Some people are so stupid they need to be coerced into doing the right thing for the greater good. It's literally the easiest thing you could ever do getting a couple of jabs, it saves a planet load of humans yet braindead morons try to compare it to Nazi Germany. If it was even the slightest bit of effort or hardship we might understand they're just lazy c*nts but they're not, they're easily led sheep. Everything needs to be done to help the majority lead a normal life.
 
Over the pond this army veteran has been refused his meds unless he takes the vaccination and apparently it’s perfectly legal for his doctor to be able to do that!


No idea if that scenario is possible here in the U.K.

I must be really braindead to get a masters degree!

I'm not lazy, I just don't want an unlicensed experimental vaccine still in trial phase until 2023 which I don't need. Only 0.02% of the worlds population died WITH Covid in 2020 BEFORE vaccines.
