Be shocked if Borthwick is demoted to the lower order mind given his stature in the club. That said he clearly isnt anything more than an 8 or 9 or 10 in T20 cricket. Iirc we lost loads of games years ago due to his moderate strike rate batting 3… think they were the days the biggest hitter at the club (Hastings) was only trusted bat the last 2 overs to dig us our the shite time and time again.

Yeah. Shame he was so underused as a batsman when he was probably one of the biggest hitters we have ever had.

Would have to throw himself about fielding and risk injury in T20 ,needn't do that in club cricket.

Its the competition with the most fans watching and we leave our best bowler jogging in at Hylton CC, treating it as a development tournament for kids. I don’t get it.
