England v New Zealand (2nd test)

England will probably this test if they score above 350. It would extend their home series record without defeat to over 7 years if they did.

I'm always astounded by the amount constant negativity that surrounds England by England fans, the abuse Root got last test, going on and on how amazing NZ are, how shit England are etc.

England weren't far off from qualifying for the ICC Test Championship final, drew the recent Ashes series, won the ODI World Cup. But you read the BBC hys comment section its all Root out, sack the ECB, Broad is past it, England are pathetic. Footballs the same, lots of negativity surrounding Southgate despite he's done a good job there.

But then have no gears to go through once that job is done. It isn’t just the job of openers to see off the new ball. I understand that it’s difficult to knock batsmen churning out runs but I think these two are a problem for England in tests. Tin hat at the ready

Nowt wrong with the run rate so far this morning. They’ve batted well and put the odd bad ball away.

I’ve said this before about the football, there seem to be a section of people who prefer England to lose. Don’t know why, I’m sure Bairstow said something on it when we lost a few games in the World Cup before winning it

Some good shots Playing by these lads I’m hoping this helps them get a grip on for the future think they have a decent balance for 1 and 2 sibley can slow games down whilst burns plays a few more shots.

I've been following them home and abroad for years and the amount of negativity and abuse from those that put their money in is minimal tbh.
Can you take a sign? We will come up with something witty I’m sure

“Anderson finished?” Is my suggestion

Anderson finished Keith?

I saw a few comments regarding the non-run chase in the last test. Given all things told I thought we did the right thing. We'll win the series with this game.

That wasn’t abuse though. That was just being critical of an inactive approach to a run chase and disappointment. The sarcastic cheers for runs scored at the ground suggests the paying punters felt the same too. They just got it wrong IMO
