Bowling full and straight we were causing them all sorts of issues. Why change that?

This is piss poor and quite possibly cost us the game as per Essex. Bancroft needs giving the captaincy as Borthwick hasn't got a scooby in these situations.
Curse works-Worcs all out. It's a special sort of curse to be born a supporter of SAFC and DCCC
Would you be a Durham supporter of you weren't expecting their tail to put on 80?![]()
True - someone mentioned Silverwood before and I can remember when him and Richard Stemp put on over a hundred for the Yorkshire's last wicket at the Riverside and that was 25 years ago.In fairness, it’s not something that’s just reared it’s head since Badger returned![]()
Give owa man, we’ve won the Championship three times in the last 15 years. There’s Counties who’ve never won it, yet in our 29 year existence we’ve got three medals! It's a special sort of curse to be born a supporter of SAFC and DCCC
I reckon 250 in our second dig wins us the game. Heavy roller is on.We need to bat big to win here. 33 lead is inconsequential. 100 lead I'd have said 200 was plenty. Ffs
Was it every game though? Colly's team was generally pretty clinical. We had some average bowlers like Harrison and Arshad but seven or eight of the team could bowl and he would mix it up so batsmen couldn't settle.True - someone mentioned Silverwood before and I can remember when him and Richard Stemp put on over a hundred for the Yorkshire's last wicket at the Riverside and that was 25 years ago.![]()
Take some loosing from here. The best I have seen Young bat as well.100 lead. 67-1

I'm sick of the sight of that fat knacker behind the stumps every game. Make him compete with Eckersley for the wk slot and pick another bowler ffs. A blind man can see what the problem with the team is, we've all been pointing it out since the second match.
That's the thing. While he isn't necessarily a wicket taker, Trevaskis seems capable of holding down an end so wouldn't necessarily go for some tap. I think he could be used to just chew through overs till the new ballThis playing 2 wicketkeepers thing is really grinding on me now. Ned is the better cricketer. Effectively we are playing with 10 men. Drop Poynter and play Trevaskis. This at least gives a left arm spinning option. Then when the ball gets old get Trevaskis on, maybe alternate with Badger if he gets some tap, and rotate the seamers at the other end in short sharp bursts. Get the seamers bowling round the wicket with short pitched bowling and just batter the lower order into submission. It happens time and again, we make good inroads into the opposition then completely lose the initiative when the ball gets old because we don't offer anything different, just a blunted seam up attack awaiting the arrival of the new ball.
Not the start we wanted. Borthwick edges behind
