CC :: Durham v Warwickshire

Arguably doesn’t matter that much yet, if we have to bat again we do. We can’t lose from here so should be looking at moving the game on quickly

It’ll take a Herculean effort from Warwickshire to avoid defeat, but my concern is that Lees and Young never looked in any bother once they’d got beyond the initial hour. It’s slow, so any variable bounce can be mitigated against if you’ve got your eye in.

I’m just concerned that if the rain doesn’t come there’s enough time for them to pass us, after that, runs and time count double so to speak.

I think given how strong a position we’ve been in so far in every single game this season, yet haven’t yet won, there’s just a little bit of pessimism there that we might not be able to get this one over the line. That’s all.

We’ve not won a red ball game since 2019, so there’s understandably a little bit of a hurdle to overcome mentally for the lads.

If they’re capable of scoring 400 on it we’re capable of seeing out a session on it.

Durham simply have to go for it after the early results.

Fucks sake, Briggs overtakes Norwell who I had in the prediction compo.
Declared. About time as it was all getting to be a bit pointless. Let’s get Warwickshire 3 down before lunch.

Borthwick is coming across as quite a conservative captain. Derbyshire declaration was five overs late.

I didn't get this. They edged a lot of deliveries but none of them carried. Also quite a few lbw shouts. They batted very cautiously at < 2 an over as the pitch was doing quite a bit.

Mind you, I will f***ing scream if it turns into a road after the heavy roller and we have Borthwick bowling full tosses.

No in play highlights on the Durham match centre I’ve noticed today which is a shame mind. Wonder why it’s been taken off.

A bowler like Wood makes such a difference. Made it look easy but that was a beautiful delivery.

Neither Wood or Carse played in the Derby game and they can both get good players out on flat pitches. They will win from here no problems imo.
