Good read.

Good atmosphere at Wembley in 2014...nothing like the Checkatrade v Pompey where they decided any coked up chav in town could have one of their ticket allocation.

Some of the toothless simpletons to my right, giving the finger across the throat gesture for the majority of the 120 minutes made me laugh that day. Proper scruffy fuckers they were.

Never had a problem with man City in fact was a legend there back in the day on football manager.

Pep hasn't got a thing on the glory I brought them.

Hope they win the champions league.

it was a privilege to be there. Proper old school football day.

I was in Covent Garden the night before Wembley and you guys had taken over and I was with my 3 kids. Came out and went for a bite and not one bit of mither from the Sunderland lads in spite of many being very pissed and me and the kids in our kits. You are a very respected club across the nation and that is worth as much if not more as any trophy. I hope one day I see you win the premier league. When you are as big as you are never say never.
If you know the Ar$ehole who stotted a 2p pence off my head in the kippax, tell him I've still got it

City fans were great at the end though, shook our hands through the railings as we were leaving.

Quite like City. They've had some amazing players over the last decade - Aguero, Silva, De Bruyne, Kompany, Toure - but always seemed quite humble about it and a little bit bewildered by their success.

Couple of things make me laugh about Man United's hatred for us since the Poznan. 1) Was at Old Trafford when they relegated us in 2006 and they took great delight in rubbing it in, including someone with a Southern accent calling us "Northern *****" in that bit next to the coach car park. And 2) There was a big cheer when QPR took the lead and people applauding the United fans - it wasn't personal, we would have mocked whoever lost the title that day

dead right I did. Missed about thirty games since 1983. Been upto yours many times to watch a lot of last minute 1-0 defeats and was at the very first game at sol.

remember your goaly with the bendy legs? Norman and you had Dave Bennett’s brother, Nicky summerbee and of course big Niall. Sorry about Rodwell!!

I was at the famous 3-2 relegation game

we honestly as a group of fans have nothing but respect for Sunderland. The way you were at Wembley is talked about non stop. Cannot wait to see you back at the top!!

it’s worth checking out the thread of you can find it or anyone clever can post a link to here?

I don’t know how to I am a bit thick!!!
My son lives in Didsbury...he and his boy wear Sunderland shirts....we were at the Cup final when went toe to toe with your boys....we were in a group of City fans after the game and looked up to see a mass rank of Sunderland fans applauding the City fans as they left the Stadium... don’t think I’ve ever felt prouder to be a Sunderland fan.

Class to see City fans get the opportunity to lord it up given that they too have experienced shite times in the past while arsehole neighbours give it the big un.

Good lads are City. Kinda feel like as a club they as ‘us’ but luckily the billionaire ownership got it right. Fair play and good luck to them.
