CC :: Durham v Warwickshire

This guy looks like a number 11. Bound to get a few runs...
Marty is absolutely class.
I stuck Nott's v Derbyshire on while I was waiting for us to start and Dave Bracegirdle and Dave Fletcher weren't half as funny without .Marty.

great day for Durham. Warks will know it's not over thought, e.g. Essex, although tbf they did have Harmer.

Frustrating that partnership at the end but if you had offered me that at 12 I would have snatched your hand off. Some great bowling and I think if you can see off the new ball it isn’t a bad pitch to bat on. Here’s hoping anyways!

One thing I have noticed watching these on line feeds since we where not allowed to attend is how often you see the Durham coaching staff watching the cricket from various parts of the outfield. Normally you only ever see them scuttling back to the pavilion from the nets.

WHED would be giving them tips if they did it with the fans in.

Back in the day, the coaches always walked around the outfield and have a bit crack. Geoff Cook being the main one. Those days seem a million miles away now sadly. Don't really see much in the way of interaction now in that way.
In the early days at the outgrounds some of the players would even do circuits of the ground especially Graveney.

The only one of the coaches who still does it to any extent is Walker.

Ian Blackwell was always good craic as was MDV. When we last played Surrey at home, MDV popped over to have a bit craic with us, not something you see much of now. Times have changed I guess.

Best view in the house
.
Some more dodgy bounce despite the heavy roller. Might we get reported for this wicket?

I really hope not (obviously) but much of the movement in my view is due to the rain we’ve had overnight and this morning. Doesn’t seem to have done as much since that initial hour or so.
