If we'd have got a point at the likes of Liverpool this weekend I wouldn't have given a 2nd thought to your result you sad twat.

In fact, when you have been in the Championship & us in the Prem those couple of seasons I'd have very little idea who you were playing, let alone the results.

I think your reaction is exactly what was hoped for.

I am not sure I believe you when you say you never know who Newcastle are playing.

This thread is 727 pages long because both sets of supporters are acutely aware of each other’s fortunes.

I have lived in the region over 40 years now and it still amuses me.

John Lennon once wrote that “God is a concept by which we measure our pain”

I think the quote can be borrowed “Newcastle is a concept by which we measure our pain” and vice versa.

So long as one is doing better than the other that seems to be enough. Indeed barely a month ago this thread was buzzing at the expected relegation of the magpies.

This North East rivalry. To quote Rhett Butler “none of this amounts to a hill of beans” really.

Not as special as been from Newcastle but supporting league 1 sunlun when you could have supported your home town team in the PL and europe :oops:

Whilst I agree with the sentiment, it wasn't lucky. They were lucky to have a goal against them chalked off. You can have 120 shots on target but it means fuck all if you can't score. We had the ball in the net twice. Now I'm not saying we should have won, but we had our own chances and the point was deserved, Klopp said as much himself.
