Come on imagine how you lot would be going on if the roles were reversed and it was us drawing at home to Accrington stanley

Bruce & Ashley in!

If we'd have got a point at the likes of Liverpool this weekend I wouldn't have given a 2nd thought to your result you sad twat.

In fact, when you have been in the Championship & us in the Prem those couple of seasons I'd have very little idea who you were playing, let alone the results.

I think your reaction is exactly what was hoped for.

I am not sure I believe you when you say you never know who Newcastle are playing.

This thread is 727 pages long because both sets of supporters are acutely aware of each other’s fortunes.

I have lived in the region over 40 years now and it still amuses me.

John Lennon once wrote that “God is a concept by which we measure our pain”

I think the quote can be borrowed “Newcastle is a concept by which we measure our pain” and vice versa.

So long as one is doing better than the other that seems to be enough. Indeed barely a month ago this thread was buzzing at the expected relegation of the magpies.

This North East rivalry. To quote Rhett Butler “none of this amounts to a hill of beans” really.

The mags on here bored us with this rubbish throughout 2020 - the upshot was the mags enjoyed numerous European mini-breaks which I am envious of. However, the sum total was zero trophies (thank goodness for Drogba). They go on like they are some European super-power when the reality is they had two Champions League seasons in '97-98 and '02-03.

Since the first European invitation in 1968-69 the mags have been in Europe 17 times and out of Europe 36 times. 12 of the 17 coming in that great run from '95-'07. But that is 14 years ago! It is statements from @Wolfbeard saying they won't be happy until back in Europe that make you look stupid. I've a load of Evertonian mates, who support a club that has actually won a European trophy, and not once have I heard them come out with such tripe.

The norm for Newcastle is to not be in Europe. Fecking accept it.
16 more seasons in Europe than you lot though which is what matters

Eh?

Proper special you like

Bet your that angry kid with his newcastle shrine bedroom. Shaking back and forward but we've been in Europe more than the mackems!
Not as special as been from Newcastle but supporting league 1 sunlun when you could have supported your home town team in the PL and europe

Not being associated with numpties like you makes me know I made the right decision on which team I support.

You are an absolute embarrassment..

My team gets a lucky point at the champions of England. What should i do? I know, I’ll go onto my rivals team forum to give it the biggin about what happened 25 years ago. Rent free.

Whilst I agree with the sentiment, it wasn't lucky. They were lucky to have a goal against them chalked off. You can have 120 shots on target but it means fuck all if you can't score. We had the ball in the net twice. Now I'm not saying we should have won, but we had our own chances and the point was deserved, Klopp said as much himself.
