I heard somewhere that only 5% of today's population were alive when they got married.Does any know if they were any other couples in the country at the moment who had been married longer?

You see you waited for the highlights and missed the emotive beauty of the occasion. The highlights on the news were canny. Calm tones from Huw and some nice interplay with the ex-ginger whinger, Witchell.
Lovely shots of Windsor with the blue skies, green lawns which have obviously been scarified and had a nice bit of Weed & Feed put down and the castle grounds.
The whole thing came close to being ruined by the interviews with the forrins in Windsor town centre, despite being told not to go, but the cut back to the studio where they discussed the highly important rift between Wills and Hazza neatly retrieved what could have been a nasty situation.

Bit like watching Sunderland.
I think we’ll see a short period of no change with Charles when the Queen passes. But then I suspect we’ll see a lot of modernising under William. He’ll look to strike a balance between retaining tradition but also repairing the relationship with the British and Commonwealth people.
Im a big supporter of the Royal family but the institution does need some change, too many people have lost interest/respect unfortunately.
Fair enough. Get yourself Off to bed then for a well deserved kip.Got my water lilies repotted, and cleared a load of old pots and rubble away in the garden in lovely spring sunshine then saw the important bits which were all discussed on here on the news.
Don’t think I missed that much by the sounds of things. I’m happy enough with that.
What does 'modeniser' 'mean? You're right on that - it's easy to forget about Charles in some ways because we all know he'll be a tideover of the old guard. But things will certainly modernise with William and that's in the not too distant future.
Certainly the institution must evolve just like everything else in life. But who knows what form that will take. I hope they will continue to take the high road even if that means staking stick in the short term for it.
What does 'modeniser' 'mean?
